Congratulations Mirage (#1), Mermaid (#2) and Carrion (#3). Thank you all for participating. This was fun! |

I'd just put everything in one Mixed category, easiest is to go with Graphics, as this is what it's all about, no matter if non-existing rules speak against that. |

Another case of silly art or the art of being silly? Count me in :D |

Forgot to add sarcasm tags... All good, and might still go for it anyway just for shit and giggles. |

Romppainen: Ouch. Didn't want to destroy your holidays. Can't you make a demo about it? :D |

Romppainen release your idea to youtube, easy gmail account. |

Duh, disappointing, I already had awesome idea but nown I feel like my creativity and inspiration have been stumped to the ground. No motivation to make even single pixel tiger. |

Romppainen: Nah. As a CSDb driven compo we stay within the borders of CSDb. Other than that: no rules. Make a tune if you want. Or a SCPU demo, or a C128 pic or DTV thingie. Whatever suits you.
It worked for He-Man Jr. Compo, so should work here. |

If there are no rules I interpret that opening the compo also for entries that aren't C64 releases at all a bit like wild category. However, what would be correct way to add such a things into compo thru CSDb also making them available to public in way or another, as if I've understood correctly this goes way beyond local entry/upload rules - ? |

"Ode to Parrot's Compopic" by Jailbird
Coming back to Compopic
makes my life just better
I smile and laugh, enjoy myself
even in bad weather.
Thank you, Parrot, for your image!
The samurai is fine.
And the tiger: he is lovely.
This is grand design!
The pixelling is on high level
I'd like to paint like you.
The tiger's paw is so amazing,
and his face is too.
Your Compopic is legendary,
I check it every day.
I will vote with highest points,
whatever others say. |

Finally! Since there are NO rules, lemme start with an old entry that was my contribution to a combo that didn't happen in 2015. |

OK, let's do this, 20 (or 21 rather) years later, celebrating the unbeatable (?) Compopic (1999). The compo is of course inspired by the legendary He-Man Jr. Compo (2018), initiated by by TheRyk. His principles also rule this compo:
Rules: NONE!
Suggestions:
Create whatever you like based on what Compopic inspires you doing.
Artists decide yourselves if you want to take this dead seriously in a hipster kind of way
or if you just want to have fun, both is absolutely alright,
there are unlimited ways how to express yourselves,
you decide if you start from scratch or with the reference picture or with some other source.
Wiring is allowed, you won't find many friends with plain untouched wiring, though.
This is not about winning, but voters feel free to vote, anyway!
Compo ends: 31 January 2020, 23:59:59 CET. |
