Public votes also require 8 votes to be displayed near the regular average. Otherwise you have to take a peek into each entry :) In general, not the best resource for vote counting :D

OK so "pub only" is just shown for random entries, I thought it only showed for entries where pub was different from the normal average.

Since pub only is not available I will use the standard average instead... and maybe report a bug ?

Some recommendations:
* Spartakus and the Sun beneath the Sea
* Mysterious Cities of Gold
* Ulysses 31
* Astroboy
* Monkey Magic
* Battle of the Planets

Hehe, my childhood right there. I guess I lean heavily towards French and Japanese cartoons :)

I've done a few versions of kids TV theme tunes back in the day, but would love to do one for this compo if it could be extended a little.. In the meantime:

Children's Choice (medley including Banana Splits, Bagpuss, Tots TV, Teletubbies, Grange Hill, Rainbow and Rosie and Jim) - https://hvsc.csdb.dk/MUSICIANS/W/Waz/Childrens_Choice.sid

Also cool would be the intro-song of the series "Es war einmal ... Der Mensch", called "Tausend Jahre sind ein Tag" and sung by Udo Jürgens in the german version. Aaaaah all those good memories!!!

@TheRyk - didn't thought, that some of these songs already exists as a SID. Great! Will search the HVSC later, if i can found more of them. But nevertheless, because every version of a song sounds different (some like a Remix), i could imagine these named songs reinterpreted here in this compo, because they have nice melodies. I am happy about this compo-idea here.

Pokemon TV series theme? There seem to be few Pokemon game tune covers, but at least STIL has no hits for the series theme.

@KAL:
Quote:
- 'Alfred J. Kwak' outro-song (warum bin ich so fröhlich/why am i so happy)

Better: Songs that do not exist aleady as .SID or not in a good quality.
Alfred J Kwak: 2 good versions out there already
http://hvsc.perff.dk/MUSICIANS/B/Bakker_Nantco/Zo_Vrolijk.sid
http://hvsc.perff.dk/MUSICIANS/S/SoedeSoft/Soede_Jeroen/Ik_ben_..

There's also some Captain Future covers and if my mind doesn't play tricks on me, also one Signor Rossi cover, though STIL.txt might currently not list them...

Great compo-idea! Some ideas here from good 70's and 80's kids cartoon-series:
- 'Pinocchio' intro-song (kleines Püppchen/little puppet)
- 'Alfred J. Kwak' outro-song (warum bin ich so fröhlich/why am i so happy)
- 'Captain Future' intro-song
- 'Herr Rossi sucht das Glück' (Il Signor Rossi cerca la felicità) intro/outro song

The idea: Music (and optionally an intro screen) for a Kids TV Show.

I've been thinking for a couple of years how cool it would be to see conversions of music of some of the shows my kids watch.

I was reluctant to set up a compo since I really don't have anything I can contribute with myself in this area...
but I am setting this up anyway, and hope there is some interest.

A lot of us are old enough to have kids now, and creating something they can recognize could be a fun way to introduce them to this old machine.

I have included a link to a video I cut together with a few suggestions of shows that have nice intro music.
