Thinking about the amount of empties per entry, it's probably because voting is only live voting at Psykoz/Kozmos. While the entry is on the screen, voting is active for that entry and then the vote system is moved to the next entry when the compo runner hits return on the next file to be loaded in the ultimate menu. Snooze and your vote will be an empty or go to the next production.
CSDB never took our little meetings too seriously (probably due to the huge amount of joke prods) until at some point it became serious business. :-) |

Nothing went wrong, but voting is always a bit hit and miss at Psykoz/Kozmos. Sometimes you work on your production for weeks and a quick party coded entry beats it because it has a funny joke.
People voted singular yeses instead of double yeses for Sarge's pic, so it didn't go so high in the final rankings. Perhaps it being a remote entry also had something to do with not so many double yeses getting cast - folks want to see the winner get the cheap bottle of booze and weird trinkets in person at the prize ceremony. :-)
The voting choices are: double yes, yes, empty, no, double no. And people are at varying levels of sobriety. |

How did the voting work in this compo? Being an entitled Brit, I need to know what the results file translates as without needing to Google :p
But seriously, though.. #23 for The Sarge's pic? That seems... off. Should've placed much, much higher, surely.. or did something go wrong during the live showing?? |
