I wasn't a scener back in the days, but followed the scene as much as I could and learned programming with C128 Basic. All sorts of tinkering took place, but I never released anything due to lack of skills and contacts. Moved on to PC around 1994 and have been geeking with computers my whole life, both as a hobby and professionally.
Returned to C64 around 2015 and in May 2019 made a somewhat conscious decision to learn assembly and try getting into the scene. But as the level in demo compos is pretty high nowadays, pivoted to PETSCII graphics and posted my first works in Shine's PETSCII World group on Facebook in March 2021. Encouraged by the likes and feedback, went on and attended the first Transmission64 party, after which I got my first entry and account on CSDb.
Meanwhile in July 2020, attended Codetsu's coding camp and roughly a year after I was suddenly helping his group Gorbat Soft in making a demo for Zoo Party 2021. This marks the beginning of collaboration with jab, Hani and Moraff, familiar rising names from several events and all being mentored by Codetsu. Hani, Moraff and myself joined Gorbat Soft soon after. Achievement unlocked, I was finally in a group.
