In addition to compo prizes ZOO gives out The Scene Act of The Year -prize that's given to a Finnish project / person / actor that has somehow cultivated the demoscene during the past year or two.
This year the prize was given to Demoskene Talteen / Preserving The Demoscene -project that was also present at our '24 party shooting some material for a documentary that will be released later.

I just wish that the party lasted a few days longer so I could talk to more people and see and experience EVERYTHING besides all the doing and beer (-‿-"). Back home after two additional days in Helsinki, I can only say that it really was a blast, a great party packed with everything a C64 aficionado could wish for ... lovely party crowd, great atmosphere ... top location offering good food and accomodation, smooth organization ... awesome amount and quality of releases.
I loved the gfx exposition and the Zoo kids compo and of course the Lonkero ;-) Expect me back next edition, promised!
PS:
After the bus finally arrived at Kiasma and we were able to warm up, I no longer found the additional bus stop bothersome, especially as we were then able to continue our journey in a (more) comfortable double-decker. And thanks to DKT we had a nice demoshow to get us in the mood for the party. :-) |

my 3rd Zoo party, each time it gets better and better!
pros: fab people, perfect organization, lovely location, superb compos, interesting spoken programmes, great music (the theremin! wtf!), fun, friendship, etc, etc
cons: no sex games compo this year. damn, I trained so hard for 24 months for nothing :( |

Well well well... I'm still shattered one day after another fantastic edition of Zoo which I'm so happy I visited again. ... and great to see more international visitors this time. :)
Big up to all the organisers, attendees, and even the sofa-sceners on IRC / Twitch / Discord. What a brilliant 3 days this has been!
Oh, and party bus was probably one of the highlights for me... we got upgraded to a decent double-decker with 4-seat tables, so we could booze and watch demos all the way to the party. :D
Can't wait for the next Zoo (next year? ;))

| This was truly a fantastic event! Thanks for the organizers and all fellow participants! I brought a non-scener relative to the event who also had a blast! Zoo Party rules! Even the bus disaster was kinda fun :D Everything was perfect except that there were so many scene friends who I didn't have the time to talk to. Catch you next time ;) |

What amazing crowd, what an audience and what incredible releases!! You guys make this party to one of the best! What amazing community and unbelievable atmosphere. Your guys bring soo much love and creativity to the old good C64.
Looking forward to see you all again + a few more fellows (hopefully). Yearning for the next event coming up in 729days.

(Remember that these goodies will only be delivered at the party!)

ATTENTION DEMOSCENE!
ZOO 2024 web shop will open 1st of July at 6PM Finnish time ((UTC/GMT +3 hours) in:

Though we have more accommodation compared to ’22 event, the amount of rooms is still limited – be FAST.
Next to the party venue situates Hotel Sointula that has its own booking. The hotel rooms will be launched available at the same moment our web shop opens, in:
https://hotellisointula.fi/en/
Please note that the rooms will be available mostly as 2-person rooms – it might be a good idea to pre-plan the booking with your mate.
If you don’t want a separate room, you may as well book a FREE spot in the separate (silent) sleeping area. ZOO will provide some inflatable mattresses for the visitors but bringing your own is a good idea too.
Besides the accommodation the web shop will provide:
• Full weekend tickets (breakfasts & snacks included)
• Party bus seats (Helsinki–ZOO’24–Helsinki)
• Saturday dinner
• Computer places (free but you have to book’em)
• Camper van spots (only a few available!)
• Pile of brand new merch
This year we’ve prepared a great bunch of tasty new merch. This partly to compensate the lack of sponsor money compared to ’22 event. By buying the merch you will guarantee better party experience.
Note that drinks will be available during the actual event from our dear old Space Bar.
One day tickets will be available during the event from the door / info.
Our Saturday dinner has meat / vegetarian options. Please inform on possible allergies and other hopes.
