Nb. In my original post I mentioned that you could use CharPad or Pixcen to count chars… later removed from the rules section completely. The tool we’ll be using, when needed, will be PNG2PRG. Unless the PRG supplied already meets requirements - many last year were “valid” char-mode graphics but the displayer used was showing them in Koala/bitmap mode. Those all qualified.

Is it possible to publish in this competition a logo painted in 1996, which has been lying on a floppy disk for 29 years and has not been published anywhere?

RULES*

Fresh work only: No pre-2025 releases.

CharSet only: Max 256 unique characters.

Logo required: Must form a readable word/phrase/number.

** No AI!: Use of AI for generation or inspiration is forbidden. **

** No copying!: Please don't copy - inspiration is ok. **

** No converting!: Fresh work only as we already said. **

No VIC tricks: No sprites, rasters, or other effects (except for fade-in).

No animation: Still images only

Entries: Max 6 entries in total per person.

*We may tweak the rules slightly if needed.

RULES*

4. Logo required: Must form a readable word/phrase.
5. Submit as: PRG/T64/D64 and PNG/GIF/BMP.
6. Limit: Up to 6 entries per person.
7. No animation.

SUBMISSIONS

1. Entries can be uploaded to CSDb
2. Alternatively, for non-sceners and others, email here: raistlin@c64demo.com.
3. Workstages not required but feel free to send them if you have them.
4. They will be posted online as soon as we can after we receive them.
5. You are more than welcome to post the logo elsewhere.
6. All entries should be submitted before 30th June 2025 23:59:59CET.


VOTING

1. Voting will run from 1st to 14th July 2025, ending at 23:59:59CET.
2. Voting will be done on C64GFX.com.
3. Everyone can vote - but votes will only be counted from verified C64 people.


RESULTS

1. Scores will be determined using squared averages.
2. Results will be announced not too long after voting closes.
3. Votes WILL BE MADE PUBLIC once voting is over.
