Lord, this had the potential to be an amazing group. Mermaid, ALIH, Fuzz, Naphalm, Local H... ehrm... me... like, a collection of legitimate scene talent that went nowhere because of some questionable organization. I think KC got ahead of himself a bit. I still have the "Official History of Sonic Dreams" that he asked me to co-write and edit when the thing was only still, like, two weeks old.

I did some graphics that never got used because I was probably the least talented graphician on the team at that point, after which most of my attention was focused on teaching Shortie to code until even that fizzled and I just walked off to go focus back on RPG. I think my only actual contribution was an "Uzzy says 'hi'" in the scrolltext of one of Mermaid's demos.

Still, I take some solace in the fact that for a small moment, I was in a group with some absolute alumni of the C64 scene.

Originally formed as sonix, however about, uhm, a month in I think, KC actually realised that people might get confused with the group Sonix Systems, and so changed the name to Sonic Dreams.

The group itself had some cool people, but overall the entire thing was a mess, and doubly so when KC had to step out and The Falcon tried to lead the crew. I don't think anyone was surprised when it all fell apart... but that's a story for when I'm feeling more verbose!

I did two things of note while I was in SCD, neither of which i had anymore. A 4k demo that I entered into the driven 4k competition in 1998 - containing a bumpmapper, a plasma, and a bumpmapped plasma - and a pc (dos/linux) based c64 painting tool called "teddy painter" - along with three logos, and one fullscreen pic. Again, none of which I have anymore.
