At one point the name of the group was changed to The Outsiders and the group eventually collapsed. Later on, the group was restarted under the TU name again.

New releases since the above was written provide dates which tell a slightly different story.
Stryper was in Outsiders in late April while Untochables was still going.
Untouchables releases stop in mid May then pick up again in mid July with only Stryper, Silk Bobo and American Knight as members. They announce the mid-July release as being from the "New" Untouchables (New in quotes is how they wrote it). Meanwhile the Outsiders kept releasing until late in the year.
It seems more likely that some members bailed and formed Outsiders in April. Untouchables ground to a halt in May then some left Outsiders in July and reformed Untouchables while Outsiders kept going without them.
