Yeah those were really great times. I was a member of TGI for quite a while.

I ran The Guardians International Toronto International HQ BBS for quite a while (couple of years maybe?), I don't really remember. I think I left about 6 months to a year before it shut down. I really don't know what happened to everyone, most of us didn't keep close contact.

I basically don't remember anything from those days, there was a real mess going on.

During these times I moved from TGI to TAPS, TOPPS, and finally settled back at Trans/Net once they went full PC/Dos.

TGI was *THE* group that started it all for me. They were "big", had an HQ that was local to me in the 416, and kept putting out crazy NEC releases that I downloaded whenever I could.. As I moved forward in the scene I heard bad rumours about them though, but they still stand out as a major memory in my early C64 days!

About this site:
CSDb (Commodore 64 Scene Database) is a website which goal is to gather as much information and material about the scene around the commodore 64 computer - the worlds most popular home computer throughout time. Here you can find almost anything which was ever made for the commodore 64, and more is being added every day. As this website is scene related, you can mostly find demos, music and graphics made by the people who made the scene (the sceners), but you can also find a lot of the old classic games here. Try out the search box in the top right corner, or check out the CSDb main page for the latest additions.
