- What a Rush!
Founded in : August 1990
Group Types :
Demo Group, Cracker Group, Graphics Group, Magazine Staff, Swapping Group
Base Country :
Denmark
Trivia :
Bronx was initially a German group with the early members Scoundrel, Gozar, Ivory and Brego, later also Spellbound. But in 1991 some members from Denmark also joined: first Bird, then soon also Cruel and Helloween, followed by many others, also members from other countries. In 1991 most of the old German members had left (Scoundrel tragically died) so Bird (Denmark) became Organizer.
Recall was a discmag edited by Ivory, he was for a short while a member of Bronx, but when he left, Recall followed him in his new group, Paramount.
In July 1991 Bronx again took over the discmag Recall from Ivory. In Recall #4 from April 1991 (Ivory's last) it is mentioned that Spellbound / Bronx will take over as editor from next issue. This never happend, instead Bird took over from Recall #5.
From Issue #11 the magazine was renamed into Earthshake.
"Close Up" was Bronx's BBS, run by Bird.
According to Die VSN-DK Bronx had a war with Vision-DK.

Wow that was ridiculous.
Clearly, this is not a group, just a section of Bronx which founded in Turkey at 1990 by the members of The Zombie Boys.
Also Gozar and Brego were the German section of the ZB. When everyone left ZB and joined the Bronx, they became the German section of the Bronx.
Subsequently, two more sections of the Bronx were established. Australia and Denmark.
You can check Cemetery News magazines which released by Bronx(Prequel of famous disk magazine Script) if you want. A lot of members are mentioned in that magazines. (Spellbound, Bird etc.)
In 1991, many key members of the Turkish c64 section left Bronx to set up a new group called Clique. The remaining c-64 division members had moved on to Amiga.
As far as I know, the Danish section continued under the leadership of Bird.
As Megatonn mentioned, Bird also frequently used the old intros that made by other sections.
You can watch Scene World magazine's interview with Vigo / Bronx for more historic information.

Also you can chack the conversation between Spellbound/Bronx and Remix/-ex Bronx, which located in the directory of the Script #5. I give the names of the note files below..

It is a little weird because the crack release "zellion" by bird/bronx is using a crack intro I made for Bronx/Australia/Turkey but bird is also speaking Turkish in the scroll. |

Deleted comment from trivia:
Despite some confusion (here on csdb), this group had nothing to do with Bronx Turkey, which was founded in 1991, half a year later than us.
Looking at the other entry Vigo has been a bronx member since 84? and some other guy since 1988. Talk about sloppy work. Hope to see this get sorted soon.
Reading a few issues of Earthshake, they never mention having any turkish members anywhere. Issue 13 has a memberslist and that one only contains danish members. |

Diplomacy
"cracked by the danish section of bronx"
should be clear that they're not a separate group but with 2+ sections.
there are 2 Gozar in both bronx? unbelievable.
Gozar
GozarALT
also there are turkish bronx releases from 1990, how can it be founded in 1991? |

Aren't this one and Bronx the same group? If not, any proof would be nice. |
