According to the scrolltext in ECS first demo, Elite Demo I the group was formed out of 1903 Crew, with the same members, probably in May 1987. They renamed the group to Enigma in March or April 1988, which was announced in Picture and Music Orgasm.

Probably based in Halmstad, Sweden.
