There are no relations to Elysium intro.
Any suggestions about similarities are valid only because of similar layout.
I've actually never seen Elysium intro (as we were "in war" :P).
It was actually my sideborder effect proof of concept.
And it actually flickers at one point... what a bummer.

Odd similarity considering the context, but unintended. This was completely done by Impaler - I haven't even "commissioned" this code as with the other ones - and he didn't care at all about any wars. He may have even never seen the ESM intro. BTW. I still think selling stuff, except hardware, by sceners to sceners is lame. Also, my 2x2 font used here sucks balls. Think we didn't have any other at the time and had a policy of using own designs only.

No, I have just checked the logos.
Atheist was in "war" with Elysium at that time (Hain vs. Mekong thing).
