I think I have this exact same chord/bassline-combination in a worktune from late 90's, I kid you not. Definite datafunk.

Somehow the melody does not seem to be going anywhere, perhaps this is kind of jazz-style jamming. With perhaps bit differentation in the main sound this could be better.

Very unique style. I have to say this is a bit of a tricky tune to feel for the first time but somehow it keeps the trick going and going. Interesting baseline!!

I really like progression of the bass line. But the melody is too playful for me.
