Quote:Why should you use firebutton to jump upwards if you have to push joy down to jump downwards? It's logical the way it is.
There's no place for logical in game design. The down jump is a relatively low-risk maneuver, while jumping up is critical to master many of the more tricky screens. Pressing up on a joystick to jump is only necessary in games that need the fire button for other things (like Giana Sisters). Jumping on the fire button makes the game significantly more playable... | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 31 December 2012

doesnt change the fact that you need to change 2 bytes and then it plays a lot more "natural" =) | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 31 December 2012

any crack of this game that doesnt have a "use fire to jump" option is completely worthless really.
i tempted to request deletion for it not being ntsc fixed too =P | User Comment Submitted by St0rmfr0nt on 31 December 2012
It is indeed a cute nice game and I like the LAXITY version! | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 31 December 2012
Those keys were made to help you if you get stuck due to using the trainer and they do what is said. RESTORE gets you back to start because sometimes getting back to the last rang bell doesn't get you out of the hassle. | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 31 December 2012
As you wish, Mr. Spacecowboy (spoilers ahead, everybody):
Pressing RESTORE does indeed bring you back to the starting-point but manages to reset your progress and returning all collected coinbags to their original positions. Pressing RESTORE does not reset any special abilities or modular changes of the game that might have occured (eg. Springheel Boots, Spiderclimb Gloves, added Pink and Cerulean blocks, etc.) As you don't like hints - the last mentioned four details is the additional trainers you should be able to add from start or by ingame keypresses.
If you want to get around it in a lazy way, try 1) checking the value of the first bell in the second room 2) set that and then 3) execute the RUN/STOP routine. Does almost the same thing as your current RESTORE routine. | User Comment Submitted by Urban Space Cowboy on 31 December 2012
"Let's just say"? Bug reports aren't fucking spoilers -- just say outright whatever you're dancing around! | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 30 December 2012
Sorry to say, boys, but this version is b0rked. Nice idea with the added ingame keys, but let's just say that one of them is broken (Hint: either you reset everything or nothing).
What believe I want to say is - you guys haven't been playing this game a lot, have you? Whatever the case is - not long enough to shed light on what the three (or four, depending on how you see it) obvious trainers might be about.
Atleast fix the broken key. This game deserves better than this. | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 30 December 2012
