The tune is ok, and the last picture (conversion from original cover) is good.
Everything else is subaverage. Pictures looks like first sierra on line adventure games, text is full of mistakes, there's no flow, and it's simply lacking or interest or originality. | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 18 May 2004
The Star Wars homage of TurricanII intro is much more elegant than this generic Hollywood/actionhero/MIB stuff.. But maybe this intro is a sarcastic critique of the decline of Hollywood action movies? :) | User Comment Submitted by Optimus on 14 April 2004
At first, I was happy to see at the show that the next demo coming up was from Smash Designs. Uhm but then,. it was just an intro for the game and it was long (Well,. my texts proove to be bigger than this though ;). I am surprised to see it taking the 2nd place too.. | User Comment Submitted by Edhellon on 13 April 2004
I was surprised that this came 2nd in the compo, probably just because of the group's name releasing it. :-\
Oh, and AEG showed me the first three worlds of the game which are ready, and I can assure you all that the game will kick some serious ass! | User Comment Submitted by Nafcom on 13 April 2004
Must agree with Mermaid & CreaMD on this, but I hope the game itself becomes a real kicker!
So, atmosphere was good, the graphics just ok. Well, rather than a slideshow guys, how about some movement? In year 2004, I exspect an intro with movement!
The intro txt had many Gremlins walking ahead, but I guess that's because it was typed and written so in a rush for fast release? Turrican III will surely become great! AEG do you job well, please :) I want to see it out finally after soooo many years!!! :D :D | User Comment Submitted by blackdroid on 12 April 2004
[Mermaid] just be very, very happy that you didnt have to watch this as the last demo in the c64 compo. almost fell asleep. | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 12 April 2004
Mermaid I agree with you, but although it's naive, I really liked the atmosphere. | User Comment Submitted by der_ton on 12 April 2004
I don´t think it´s supposed to be a documentary on 31st century clothing, but the intro to a c64 action game. The stereotypical storyline is ok in that context imho. |
