Wow, this composition is beautiful! | User Comment Submitted by Stone on 10 October 2014
Ah, this is lovely. I especially like the triangle harmonized parts. | User Comment Submitted by goto80 on 10 October 2014
Try to force yourself to have different pattern lengths running parallell at the same time. Ie, 48 steps for melody and 64 for bass. Sometimes works well. If ze tracker can deal with itz. | User Comment Submitted by tempest on 9 October 2014
Thanks for the comments. It's nice to hear positive feedback, especially from C64 artists whose work I admire a lot. I wasn't sure whether to release the tune at all, because of the high standards in SID music.
I'll save some time for someone who wants to criticise the tune: It gets jarring because nothing really new happens in the arrangement after a while. It also suffers from something that's been irritating me lately, namely, doubling every part before moving to a next one. In other words, there's a melody and chord progression that resolves / comes to a conclusion, and then I repeat it - usually unchanged. Partly it's because of composing in closed (tracker) patterns, partly it's the music around us and partly it's something that's just in my system after years of doing music in trackers.

Not the best SID tune I've heard for some time, but still a very apt high score tune indeed. Good job! | User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 3 October 2014
The best sidtune i have heard for some time. Great melody and sounds! | User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 3 October 2014 User Comment Submitted by abaddon on 3 October 2014
Maybe you could submit this to the Tape Loader compo instead? Seems like it would fit the criteria. | User Comment Submitted by Peacemaker on 3 October 2014
ahhhh... a very nice composition... good work... keep it up. | User Comment Submitted by GH on 3 October 2014
Heya Janne, Great piece of work there and nice to see you back.
How many Purple Hearts he/she got? :)
I really like the melo-wise solution at 1:22.. Keep it up! | User Comment Submitted by Scarzix on 3 October 2014
But a GREAT comeback!!! let's co-op someday, if you want? | User Comment Submitted by Hate Bush on 2 October 2014
this is not just a humble game over, but a complete end sequence <3 | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 2 October 2014
Awesome, but it's way longer than 30 secs, so it should be moved to outside compo. | User Comment Submitted by tempest on 2 October 2014
Just something simple to get into CheeseCutter and back to C64 composing.
@Scarzix: Damn, I knew I should've read the small print.
I'll remove this from the compo. | User Comment Submitted by Scarzix on 2 October 2014
