Sorry Vanja, I had it mixed up with what people wrote in a FB thread. Regardless, it is still nice to see a new face release something of this indeniable quality.

Dane, I don't see any "purists (...) come crashing down" on anything in the comments, everyone who has commented so far has been positive?

Personally I would have liked to see a bit more antialiasing and a bit less of the repeated chessboard dithering.

What Dane said. I totally love how flawlessly colours were ported - as if original photo was meant for VIC.

Must be 5000+ images in this database created in a similar fashion and suddenly you purists choose to come crashing down on this one?

Great work, the black outlines and style remind me of some of Hein's gfx from Dutch Breeze. Keep it up and nice to see a new face around here!

Too much pixelling involved to call this one a straight conversion. I really liked the outcome, very stylish.

I just rushed to tell it was converted to avoid the oregano bitching. Its a repixeled ofcourse. Oliver is not a scener just pixels for his own fun (afaik), and just started out. but I think here he got the lighting, shadows, colors etc spot on.

Wow. Hard to tell it's converted, so the repixelling must be really good, indeed.
