I have rewatched this again lately and very underrated in the demo compo. It should have been much higher. Kudos. | User Comment Submitted by 4gentE on 18 November 2022 User Comment Submitted by Bob on 8 November 2022
This Demo is a *BEAST*, and the FX WoW Gfx WoW. Music, Masterpiece its absolutely amazing.

Was listening to the amazing soundtrack from a YT recording and came here raving about it... only the see that I've already done so once. But this deserves to be raved about twice: Lovely demo, soundtrack is effin amazing! | User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 28 January 2021
The music on this... goddamit. | User Comment Submitted by Peacemaker on 13 February 2017
One day, when i am grown, i will step outside the shadows of the big guys =) | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 9 February 2017

Then credit needs to be given where it is due. I want to see more of Peacemaker; really great stuff here in this demo. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 6 February 2017
Thanks, but the main coder of this demo was Peacemaker ;) | User Comment Submitted by Sith on 5 February 2017 User Comment Submitted by Sith on 5 February 2017
Now this is one right up my alley: lengthy, tons and tons of fx, mixture of multi-color and monochrome styles. Wonderful gfx. Great muzaks by Linux.
I love what the tandem of HCL and Groepaz can produce. The result is just making me want mooore. Please guys? Guys? :D | User Comment Submitted by GH on 27 November 2016
Keep getting back to these well put together Graphics and mood!
Besides the variety of Songs and Styles a la fit In-Demo SFX's and timing are SUPPAH~
Intro and End music are most appealing to me. Melodramatic is the word :D

Fantastic show in all regards! Love the music starting at ~3:00 and the end tune (except the progressive parts, whyyyy Linus? ;)). | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 15 November 2016 User Comment Submitted by BHF on 9 November 2016

3 New articles on my blog. Start here http://retronavigator.com They should be read one by one on main page as part #1 of the Work in Progress articles.
In this part you'll find some early logos and concept arts + anime gifs of the steps of Intro Picture. | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 6 November 2016
Some massive jaw droppers in this one. The shadow caster is wonderful, although the border kills it a bit. The width changing wobblers are my favourite and the school of fish is supernice, too. Great visuals. I also loved the end music and the intro, but in between the music killed it for me, too often it changed/ended aprubtly and the flow of the demo was gone. | User Comment Submitted by ZZAP69 on 5 November 2016
Impressive design, Graphics and Music. One of my favourites. | User Comment Submitted by Carrion on 5 November 2016
now... who made the oversaturated (STE like) anime gif CSDB preview image? pls change it :D
@Trap
Thanks for nice comment. I really appreciate it a lot.
Answering some of your concerns:
the intro colors was a kind of compromise between blue $06 or brown $09. We've chosen $06. I'm stunned till now how HCL was able to do such a 3 layer parallax scroll anyway.
On the coherency stuff I was convincing Peacemaker to believe me that it makes sense to keep the color scheme, the motives we chose as repeating parts of the demo design (like the collumns or the red leaves here and there). I'm grateful Peacemaker believed in some of in my ideas. The most important for me was that he already had the whole demo idea in his mind and we sticked to it all the time. Even when I (and some others) tried to invent new things... ;)
I have a little story to tell how HCL asked me to join the demo project (it was spring 2016), and how it all kicked off, but I'll do it later and publish it on my blog. So stay tuned. | User Comment Submitted by Trap on 5 November 2016
I loved the icing effect in the beginning and in the end.
There is a theme throughout the demo and all routines seem to have been thought through around that. The music specifically was something I noticed - it has a consistent theme that matches the 'greece and gods' theme.
Some of the effects didn't work too well for me. The floating ship was a little bit irrelevant. The graphics were absolutely stunning - the full screen pictures were out of this world. Some of the colorschemes seemed a bit off in the multilayering effects.
For me, Carrion and Peacemaker were the guys who shone the most in this demo. A lot of work has been put into making the design consistent and it shows! ... but I know that all of the great guys involved in this production did a lot of work to make this demo reality.
This demo should have ranked in the top 5 at the party. I don't know if it was the VSP-related problems that blurred the picture for the viewers. Favorite parts: The fish part with the flocking effect and the vertical bending rasters neear the end of disk 2.
Great work!!! | User Comment Submitted by honk on 5 November 2016
Not mentioning all the wonderful stuff inside: For me, personally, best Intro-C64-ice-effects i ever saw! Wonderful (!) and all points to give here. | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 4 November 2016
my fav's that double helix no matter whether it's pre or live calculated :) | User Comment Submitted by celticdesign on 4 November 2016
Puuh, massive fx stuff. Should be ranked higher. 10/10 | User Comment Submitted by Dane on 4 November 2016

I adore those ultimately consistent designs you're sneaking into your productions. Unique stuff. | User Comment Submitted by Clarence on 1 November 2016
Massive job put in this one, the shadow-casting routine was very good. On the whole, feels a bit like a sequel to Artphosis. Also very nice artwork. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 1 November 2016
terrific demo, it has a different vibe than most of the others and that's a pro for me. it's seriously polished from back to front and it never gets boring because of it. not to mention the proper flow, superb gfx throughout and brilliant soundtrack.
and its great to see an unlikely group of people teaming up together to do a Hitmen demo! | User Comment Submitted by Axis/Oxyron on 1 November 2016
Outstanding pixelwork by Carrion. | User Comment Submitted by Danzig on 1 November 2016
Sorry for german, but: Kacke, das war geil! Peacemaker, Hut ab! | User Comment Submitted by Bob on 1 November 2016
Massive production with awesome graphics really nice fx, I especially like these tech tech & fpp bars stretchers. eventhough it crashed at the compo it didn't affect my judgement of the demo ;) it is a beauty! | User Comment Submitted by booker on 1 November 2016
I must've totally nodded off when this one was running on the biggie. Kickass graphics and who cares about Linus. Some effects could probably use more modern desing but really good show overall. | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 1 November 2016
Great pixels, sound and code! COOL demo! | User Comment Submitted by 6R6 on 1 November 2016
