Hammerfist: The reason for bothering was that after the snow intro I thought it would be fun to see if I could adapt the multiplexer to fix the issue I had with this intro. I might have done more changes if I had had the time, but on the other hand the point wasn't really to change it all. Guess you can say that it's using other people's work, but you could also see it as a remix or a cover version. None of the original code has been reused. Only the logos and asteroids, which has both been brushed up.

Dr.Science: Yes, 16 asteroids, most of them using 2 sprites to have 4 untransparent colors.

Had to read the comments to discover what changed. I like the intro, but it has no originality at all. I don’t get why you’d bother in the first place - not even for the admittedly annoying transparent-black asteroids. Neither do I get why you are basically entering someone else’s work as your intro for a competition. That ranks it last in my eyes. Maybe I’m missing the point. If so, I’m sorry for the low score.

Lovely. The Asteroids (twice the amount of the original Intro?) look great!

Kewl intro. Killing 26 year old nuisances of transparent sprites. Life's good now, thanks.

10 for the code. 9 for the idea of an intro remake. 0 for it being Klam-o-lot <3
Just love that multiplexer effect. Awesome!

Dr.j: Yes, but with a few tweaks like antialiasing and as the most important thing, making the darkest color of the asteroids black instead of transparent. This was the main reason for doing a remake, since it has always annoyed me. :)
