I have to agree with O'Dog on this, probably would worry about it. In another year or so some other bright idea will happen and it will all get changed again.

Another day of changing rules on CSDb. Seems to be just to please some whiners who have no clue about C64 cracking scene history. (Just a sidenote.)
I wish you moderators much fun verifying the other 75k crack entries if the original has been protected or not and change the credits accordingly.

No. That definition is for the release type, not the credits. But I already guessed where you got that idea from. Could you please change "Crack" to "Linking" in the cracks where you did not crack any protection.

There are a lot of "cracks" in this database which never had a protection. I usually credit me for "crack" if there was something changed like adding highscore-saver, level-packing or one-filing. Linking is just putting something together and I guess it was originally added as credit for putting togehter demos. So if you just link an intro to something, linking seems to be the correct credit (trainer is a separate credit) but if there is done more I'd call it "crack".

Straight from the CSDb help:

Cracks
By our definition a "crack" in the Database is a Program which has been somehow modified (which preferably adds some value over the Original) and then released to the Scene. Yes we know that doesn't match your definition.

You see I just follow SCDb rules.

O'Dog: I believe "Crack" should be changed to "Linking"?
