An essential tool to learn from the masters.
Add mathlib (-lm) if your compiler stops at "undefined reference to 'pow'"
gcc -o siddump siddump.o cpu.o -lm | User Comment Submitted by manganoid on 25 May 2021
I love this app, use it a lot :) | User Comment Submitted by cryptoboy on 12 July 2020
I think the CPU code in SIDDump is pretty rock solid. I made a python version of the cpu.c logic, and it passes all the relevant Wolfgang Lorenz 6502 tests (when I allowed stack wrapping) as well as the Klaus Dormann's BCD tests. I added a little raster simulation and bank handling, and even booted a C64 off it (stopping once I got "38911 BASIC BYTES FREE"). I'm new to emulation, and I learned a lot reading through this code, thanks!
One note: I saw that in this latest version, PHP now sets the break flag on what gets pushed. Since the flag only ever exists on the stack, it should probably be dropped when retrieved by a PLP. | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 10 June 2020
