@KAL_123: The IFFL we used is rather old fashioned. The package is from 1997, based on Beta Skip IFFL from 1991. That time nearly nobody cared about compatibilty to customized hardware. There are modern IFFL systems like N0SDOS which have much better compatibility because they check for the used drive type at start and install fitting subroutines into the loader based on the detection.

Short question about IFFL loaders, because they were just mentioned here. Why do these loaders seem to be such a problem for many speeder-kernels? Jiffy-DOS seems to be able to cope with them (according to my tests), but faster kernels, like for example Dolphin-DOS and Prof-DOS, have big problems with them, at least when the normal loading-commands were used and not fallback-commands for slower loading (,8,2 etc).
