It is old shit now 27 years later, but damn this code looks wicked.
Usually scrollers bore me because not much to see unless you love reading them. This demo on the other hand has several of those wtf?!? moments. Must have been totally epic in 1990.

The part with the dysp sprites over the bitmap horizon logo (moving in lines) - was that coded by Exilon?

It's some deep shit coding going on there. Checking the code it seems to be a "cheat" dysp, using sprite stretching ($d017).

I still would like to hear HOW the bitmap logo moves though. Anyone able to point it out? Would it be possible to make a full stretch, without the black lines between?

I really enjoy the whole sound track of this demo. Boogaloo put so much effort in every single of them. Someone put it out on CD and kick all those lame real chart's suckers ass!

Oh yeah, remember the shock when I saw those lowerborder ECI-rasterbars back then. My first theory was "OMG they musta found a way to change the ghostbyte color!" :)

Cresh: The rasterbars in the lower border are a true classic, I'll always remember that part! ;-) it's a really nice trick, he uses unexpanded sprites for the dither... but with a pixel offset left and right, and he covers the visible offset with the HZ sprite in the middle! ;-)

Yes, Cresh!
That's one of the sweeties :)
This whole demo is actually one large caramello.

Aweso! Brings back memories. Probably one of the very first demos that I loaded from newly purchased disk drive.
Could anyone explain this particular effect:

This is a kick-ass demo. The amazing FPP-DYSPs. The subtle smooth raster bars in the lower border (did you notice those?). Great music.

This one has been one of my favourite demos ever since I saw it in late 1990 just a few weeks after it was released. Hardcore to the soul.

Just like many other HZ-releases, this one has so complex demo-effects that noone really understood what it was all about! Before you think you have invented something new, go check this demo first. Gosh.. 1990! Really Chool!
