I loaded it up and it destroyed my CIA and the SID. CSDb release policy clearly is to blame for that! I'll sue you! ;)

This is buggy, don't use it, I noticed it on X while using it, Crossbow just confirmed it. There'll be a fixed version soonish!

Because 0-6 are already taken? ;-)
Also, Amica Paint introduced this IIRC, and it's been standard in all Crossbow editors for a long long time. So why change it now? And why compain now, after all these editors? Oh, right, i forgot: you don't even do GFX! ;-D So we're all really happy you don't have to kill yourself! 8)

why a-p, why not 0-9 a-f ? I'd kill myself if I had to use a-p :)

Wile: ...and that is supposed to be easier than simply pressing A-P? <:-)
Don't forget you need to select ink/paper/spritecolors (with shift and C=)

Thank you very much for creating this new form of graphics and the new universal version too :)

So what, FMan? IMO Paper/Ink is the best way to describe this to laymen, better that background and foreground.

Hehe. PAPER and INK are Spectrum terminology. ;-)

(hypothetically speaking) the colour selection could be much improved, made easier.

Here’s an idea I had:
Press Space-Bar: Open a window that displays the *various colours available
Press Space-Bar: Close window

Or

Press and hold Space-Bar: Open a window that displays the *various colours available
Un hold Space-Bar: Close window

mager: adding a NOP? ;-) Which I think has been done.. I doubt anything else is possible, another STA would be required..

So, has anyone tried this out on real HW yet?

Just out of curiosity, could any (meaningful) improvements be made to the graphics format itself with an extra 2 cycles per line?
