For those who don't download the poem/petscii animation:
I am John Lee, by indians raised, I am truly amazed,
at sunset I ride my horse, I just avoided some boars,
in battle with the white, will be a hell of a fight,
armed with my bow, my dagger and axe, it all comes to a climax
bullets passed my head, when will be the end of this bloodshed
me and my indian friends ride, many in this battle died,
standing in a stream, blood in my face, then in a chase
my axe penetrating his chest, seems I am obsessed
the killing has no end, but i must defend
the children, the women, in tears with their visions
the white will survive, we will be no longer alive
until my last arrow I fight, and I am still alright
I am John Lee, my fight, guided by the light
I never give up, I am strong, the indians, there I belong |
