Our new kitchen fan has this annoying user interface where you have to press a touch button twice to turn it on or off, but you can't do it too quickly or it doesn't register the second press. Obviously, I want to double-tap it as fast as possible, and the upshot is that I need to somehow remember how quickly I'm allowed to do it. And the "dun dun" of Empire of Norway is a perfect mnemonic. So now, every time I cook, I get this masterpiece on my mind.

Bet you didn't expect that when you composed it.

Yeah, first impression was that so much pathos is leaking out it even feels a little kitschy; but once you are absorbed, you want to listen again and again.

This Tune has grown so much on me, I had to raise my vote from a measly 7 to 10, I'd even vote 11 if I could! Absolute Sid masterpiece and clearly a top 3 all-time in my book!!!

I wasn't too fond of this tune at the party, I felt it was too wild with the lead and thought it was almost a little irritating. As I watched Trick & Treat and heard it a few more times it totally grew on me and now it's on my favourite list and a straight 10. I think one of Ole's qualities is that he packs his songs with so many melodic twists and turns that for me it takes a while to really get into it, but once I do, I love the ride!

Love the prosonix style. I do miss a bit coherence in the lead later on, sounds a bit too jammy. Otherwise great work.

Thanks for nice words everybody :)

I do wish, however, that everybody that downloaded the tune would vote, or leave a comment. I enjoy reading feedback on releases.

@Randall - thanks! - but Vibrants/MON style?
This is PROSONIX style, dude! :)

This one along with Jeroen's tune are my favorites ;) Eventhough the vibrato irritates me a little :D

A really great tune, it has so much power. The Empire of Norway could be a tune for a great game, maybe Defender of the Crown 2, I have the feeling that middle Ages style meets modern style.

Great tune! :)

wow, I am sorry that I missed the compo as I had to pay the tribute for boozing :-D I really love this song and that I couldn't hear it on the soundsystem sucks. Ole Marius, I love your stuff so much for several decades .-D you rock

Whoa!!!!! I was missing Asterion's medieaval stuff a lot and this tune brings very similar mood to the playground. Plus it sounds a bit like something from Barbarian games (in intro), and it has overal epic arrange that seriously messes up my 21st century pop music aligned brain. Only objection I have is, that it fades away. Opportunity to hit listener's head with big spiky (or how they name it) war hammer seriously missed!! ;-) Anyway, the best thing I have heard in the compo so far (listened to all things from Jeroen Tel up). Two thumbs up man!
