I like the "thin" overall sound. This has a feeling of melancholy which is appropriate after battle. | User Comment Submitted by Dane on 25 November 2012
I wouldn't be surprised to find this in an end-part 20 years ago. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 23 November 2012
Best Richard tune so far, imho. | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 20 November 2012
Wow, this one made it to the top-score :) The feeling is there and the melody feels great! | User Comment Submitted by Stinsen on 16 November 2012
Rehashing what others said, perfect high score tune feeling. :) | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 13 November 2012
Absolutely a high-score tune!
Nice one, though the melody takes some unexpected turns that distract a little. | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 11 November 2012
Very nice one. You cleary have the advantage that you did game-music many times already. So considering the compo-theme this is one that fits very well. A short minimalistic theme.
But personally I like happy highscore tunes a little bit more. Perhaps because I suck at gaming so I'm always happy when I'm able to enter a score :-) | User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 10 November 2012
This is how a high score power ballad should sound. Forget about others. | User Comment Submitted by psych on 10 November 2012
Indeed, this tune will perfectly fits into the high score part in any game. Like it. | User Comment Submitted by STE'86 on 10 November 2012
yes indeed, vaguely sad, slower but fundamentally linked to their main theme counterparts, in the manner of THE two classic c64 hi score themes (imho): Crazy Comets and Commando. so far this is the hi score tune for me because it ticks all the right boxes and it's not trying to be a "main theme" | User Comment Submitted by Kristian on 10 November 2012 User Comment Submitted by Heavy Stylus on 10 November 2012
Good work Richard! IMO High Score table music should be sad - because you normally see it when you DIE :) | User Comment Submitted by Leticia on 10 November 2012
Hey, I really like this one ;) | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 10 November 2012 User Comment Submitted by Kristian on 10 November 2012
Short, but how long does one watch a high-score screen? Feels more sad than happy though. | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 9 November 2012
lol, the difference is that listening to your tune make me think just "it sux". It doesn't make me feel anything else. | User Comment Submitted by G-Fellow on 9 November 2012
I like your tune Richard. Would fit perfect to a High Score list in a game. Maybe in your next game you use it or the tune from Dane or Kristian Røstøen! haha :P I want see more tunes like this from you Richard! :)
I can not resist, question to Ian Coog, what is the difference bettween this good tune from Richard and my tune? | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 9 November 2012 User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 9 November 2012
I love your style because it is straightforward and economic. Separated from the product it usually sounds repetitive, but if this played in the high score part of the game, it would fit totally perfectly.. "like an ass on a potty..." as they say over here. |
