Edit:
If you put a value lower as 8 into the color ram the char becomes hires otherwise it is multicolor.

In MC you have three fixed colors and 1 from the color ram ( for every 8x8 block). But the color ram us limited to the lower 8 colors. if you but a value higher lower as 8 into the color ram the char becomes hires otherwise it is multicolor.
In Dragons & Boobs are two mixed logos.
Pixcen V0.6.1.11 can handle multi-color with different colorram (with values greater than 7).
If you want mix MC and hires use CharPad V1.8.3 .

Like the graphic overall, too bad your efforts are wasted on that shitpot of a group.

JSL, Multicolor bitmaps(Koala) use a lot more memory but can have unique pixels in every 8x8 char section of the screen. Multicolor text mode is limited to 256 8x8 unique chars. Then you stamp them into screen RAM to build your picture.
In multicolor bitmap mode you only have one shared color($D021), but in multicolor text you have three($D021-$D023). So you need to pick those carefully.

Joe, where in the world in the past it says there is a 5th color in MC Char,
it always where 3 and the backgroundcolor, and besides is not the Grey color $d022 while the color Grey $d019? But maybe $d021 is Grey1? :)
I checked the Codebase C64 wiki, but first of all it seems hacked, and somewhere between the html source of the site of $lda 793 (hack start) and $c000-$dcff with an additional part of code at $i3000 to $j1fff and I read something in binary language the handle 4CES and I checked c64 and amiga database, but maybe you know someone with this handle. The User/Mayday: Where's your converter, is this
a new upload or an old MD release? Keys: I don't understand from graphic modes, but what is the difference between a koala picture and a font? Because both are in five colors, and I state actually MC is three plus background.

only found some color clashes at the ankh. But i don't know which colors are expected for $D023 ($d022 is dark gray)

Cool Logo. JSL, i uploaded a converted charset viewer. And it looks like it would fit into the restrictions.

JSL: Wow, you say there are 5 colors in one char?
I wonder which one it could be?
And besides if I'm not completely an idiot,
it does seem to be ordinary multicolored bitmap gfx,
with black set as background color.

Good point. And Insight. I raise my vote to a 3, just to be safe, you become the Coder of the Key(s). ;)

JSL, you can have more than 4 colors in a multicolor charset by using different colors for the color ram data. I'm not sure about creating the future, but I do write my own graphics tools. I just don't have something to build MC chars. But you've prompted me to code that up quick! :P

I disagree on some things, first of all the logo doesn't fit in Multicolor, because I count five colors in the logo, and Multicolor is three colors, so how you would do that, are you Protovision, Creating the future? :) A Straight 1!

Thanks everyone. I had a lot of fun doing this one. It also fits in a multicolor charset and I like the challenge of working with restrictions like that.
