That first SID. <3
The demo has some really cool effects (love the rasterbars) and pictures, but the presentation is a bit slow, scrolly and oldskool for my taste. | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 20 February 2007
placed damn too way down in the list. probably due to the oldschool style. why is unicorn in top 10 and this is nr 110 is over me :) maybe this is too heavy and long while unicorn is a fresh little cookie. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 13 August 2006
bit overdue, but anyway ;) another juror responds.
this is indeed a very cool demo, but not #1 in my eyes. Many parts just took too god damn long. You're at a party, watching demos in the middle of the night with 100+ geeks. You don't want to be bored, cause you'll be wanting another drink.
Eventhough the coding, music and gfx are very much up to standard for a #1 position, it doesn't flow like the Focus demo does. Feel, hear, look.

Kurva jo a demotok!!! ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Clarence on 17 August 2005
Hey man, really thanks for the nice reaction. :) Yeah, I met a lot of people at TP6. Unfortunately I lost contact with Peet a long time ago, but luckily I have now other musician support. Cheers! | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 29 April 2005
Ho!
Nice to see that all I wanted to say was already said by someone else :)
Everything? No, not everything. What I wanted to add is that I always loved all Chorus productions, and this is no exception. I am bewildered to see Leon joining up the team. Chorus always had a special taste in design, and leon is able to carry on this design to a new level without making it a different thing (SZENZACIUS!). Respect!
And Just In Case you still can't get enough positive feedback, WELCOME BACK, Clarence! I once met you on the Party in Denmark, a long time ago, and Im sure you can't remember a thing about me as I just entered the scene and had no idea of anything. Still I like to think back to this moment, as you were the first guy I recognized that had a C64.
Revolution still rocks, and let the Kefrens spirit influence you still ;) Hey, and get back Pete, he once was my favourite msxer!
@Fanta: Wonderful soundtrack as usual! I also liked the Outcast demo, and especially the great tune in the Vision 2003 demo... | User Comment Submitted by Compyx on 13 March 2005
Nice one !
I'm happy to see that some people still do the old school code like dycp's, techtech and dypp's.. I've been out of the scene for about ten years and when I returned all I saw was more plasma, vectors and other stuff, bah..
This is more like it, old school coding still kicks ass ! | User Comment Submitted by Spectator on 29 November 2004
This judge agrees with most of the ppl at CSDB here. The voting results @ x2004 were not representative of the scene, i must agree. | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 29 October 2004
I'm so delighted about getting positive reviews! I hope you can see many more Chorus demos from us. I was very glad to make this work and it was good to wander around oldschool demos. Thanks you too: Clarence, Drax and Fanta! :_) \o/ :_) | User Comment Submitted by Ninja on 29 October 2004
The presentation was a bit too oldschool for my taste. The graphics are sometimes truly amazing, sometimes just average. I really like the code and the music. All in all, a great demo. Welcome back! :) | User Comment Submitted by Clarence on 28 October 2004
Thank you all, for the mainly inspiring, positive comments we got the last week here (also in pm, e-mail, irc, and in other forums). This is what keeps us going on (and makes us so proud of this demo). | User Comment Submitted by V-12 on 27 October 2004
Really cool demo, best one at X2004 party! Great design, cool music and POWER! Yeach, it was really cool to see it live at X! RESPECT FOR THIS GREAT WORK! | User Comment Submitted by Graham on 27 October 2004
Great demo, also my personal #1 of the competition. Anyway, it has been a close competition for the top so the results might be a bit random aswell. | User Comment Submitted by Cargo on 26 October 2004
Judges of X-2004! The time has come to acknowledge your mistake. Chorus more better then Dialogue. Demode is a real hardcore code-demo with very beautiful pictures and harmonious musax. Thanx guys! | User Comment Submitted by bubis on 26 October 2004 User Comment Submitted by Proteque on 25 October 2004
wow. nice gfx, nice effects, nice design. NICE DEMO! really loved this one. | User Comment Submitted by blackdroid on 24 October 2004
So yet another post-party debacle about the deserved winner :) soon 20 years of it and people still get suprised about the top #3 in each and every category for each and every party. And once again the post-party debacle shows that its not unanimous.
And for the record my 0.02 euros goes to the Focus demo. | User Comment Submitted by G-Fellow on 24 October 2004
#1Chorus #2Focus. My opinion, i love this demo. | User Comment Submitted by Fanta on 24 October 2004
thumbs up for scout beeing a man. the focus demo is much weaker in code & gfx, both quality and quantity. music only in quantity. so you really think it´s a fair result? it´s not! the focus demo was special and very cool, really. but if you see the effort for demode then clarence must be the true winner i think. cu.. | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 24 October 2004
From a coders view: No, we haven't seen some of these effects before. The design may not be on the *focus* level, but still.. This is Excellent!! | User Comment Submitted by Scout on 24 October 2004
And now one of the compo-judges writes a comment...
This is an excellent demo! The graphics are wicked, the music is cool, the code rocks but haven't we seen this already?
That's why it scored an 8.5 on my votesheet instead of the 9 I gave to Focus demo.
So shoot me!
Anyway, I'll bet Chorus will really kick some compo ass next time.

Well, according to the votes here, people like it more than Dialogue. The 2nd place is probably due to the special case of judges deciding who rules or not on X. | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 24 October 2004
nobady dares to say that this demo should have won ? No doubt focus made something more freshy, but one should look also at the invested work.
Thumbs Up for Clarence, Leon, Fanta and Drax. | User Comment Submitted by Optimus on 24 October 2004
Great gfx, wonderfull music, nice vic effects! | User Comment Submitted by DCMP on 23 October 2004
Excellent demo. Nice music, graphics and code. And the elephant picture is sublime. | User Comment Submitted by Deev on 23 October 2004
some nice effects, with really nice pixelling in the end part. | User Comment Submitted by CyberBrain on 23 October 2004
rocking demo - nice effects, nice gfx!
Maybe a 'press space' option would be good sometimes, tho. | User Comment Submitted by blackdroid on 23 October 2004
some really nice code/effects.. |
