Please upload proper screenshot with borders. Looks like it uses the border while it doesn't.

Fine combination of hires sprites and multicolor graphics, it truly gives a very fine detailing to the image.

Nice one!

Especially the mode behind the pic got me thinking... this kind of sprite overlay was done in a similar manner a while ago by Hoogo iirc. At least I was instantly thinking of this prod: Hopeless. Now I'm more than happy to see that a proper tool for such a mode is going to materialize :))

And reading that this Hi5-Mode will only be "one of several modes the Philexegis-Editor is going to support" I am even more looking forward to this tool!!!

Thumbs up for both, Isildur and CJam!

@Oswald, please don't! It would be great loss for the c64 Scene ;)
He is not sad in any way, he is just dreaming or meditating.

What's the point of analyzing anatomic correctness whereas entire form definitely steers from realism and focuses elsewhere? ;)

My mistake. The new mode is called Hi5 and the editor is Philexegis. Sorry ;)

Thanks for the kind words, Isildur.

Slight miscommunication on my part though; Philexegis is the editor (coming soon!), Hi5 is just the first of a number of graphics modes I'm hoping to support; almost free use from a palette of five colours within a 12x25 char window, plus a sixth local colour with certain restrictions.

Picture was made in The Brand New GFX mode called Philexegis invented by The brilliant ChristopherJam. It's like next level of Super-Hires without almost any limitations in limited area + multicolor outside. Editor will be available soon. Thank You Christopher for this and I hope It will be next gfx standard for the good old C64.
