A fast crucial fix is uploaded:
SID-Wizard V1.91
(Addressing the below mentioned Ctrl+X->Shift+C issue and an F3-key freeze issue in emulator in save-dialog, plus a possibility to soft-restart the program, just in case.)

An important message to Users: Do not press Shift+C following a Control+X 'cut' command in SID-Wizard! This might terribly fukk up your target pattern's length and the whole musicdata, when you press Ctrl+V to insert this data.
(In case you mistakely do this, using the Control+Z one-step Undo immediately can come to the rescue.)

I accidentally found this issue while I was working on a tune. Actually it means that this 'limiting cut-length' feature is not supported, so it should have been disabled at least to avoid this scenario.
It will either be disabled or implemented properly in future versions... (Shift+C can still be used fine after Ctrl+C for partial copying btw, as the manual suggests.)

PS: I contacted Chris Wemyss meanwhile and his problems with this emulator have been resolved by some changes in his OS/environment.

That's a lovely piece of kit, I've been using it on the latest worx, most being unreleased yet. The workflow is the same way as unbeatable as in the case of the native SW version, with the twist of being standalone. I love this tracker, especially so that its MIDI converter enables me to actually record the parts with a musical instrument that has MIDI output. Now you can even play the damn thing directly inside the tracker right out of the box* :)

Kudos Hermit!!!

* On a real C64 HerMIDI interface make it possible, too:

Been using this a bit recently and the timing sometimes sounds a little bit off and things dont feel quite right compared to what I'm used to with the real Sid Wizard on the 64 which is rock solid. Jumpy cursors too. Could be down to the emulation maybe. Just some feedback for you and would love to see this improved.

Only some fixes and a little enhancement (plus/minus to change drive) are made to the SW-1.9 C64 version, see more details in the manual.
(Apart from that, the SID-Wizard prg included in the emulated one was changed significantly to accomodate to the new requirements like folder-switching, MIDI-handling. Essentially a fake KERNAL and custom ROM code was made for the asynchronous communication between the prg and the emulation with some extra zeropage sentinels.)

As long as at least some people use the program, the project isn't dead.
The best is yet to come, albeit with a different codename...

A new version of SID-Wizard with 'built-in' emulation for ease of use and faster launching and IO-operations. Some minor fixes and enhancements were made to the SID-wizard-1.9.prg C64 version as well.

Linux 64bit (Debian package) and Windows 32bit versions are uploaded. If you have other Linux the .deb package can be extracted/browsed for example in Midnight Commander. No source-code this time (it's not in a publishable form yet). Dependency is SDL1.2 (dll included in Win version), on Linux libasound2 is needed for MIDI but ALSA is needed for sound anyway...

See more info in the manual/txt in the deb/zip packages.

Have a nice composing...
