" Since then I have lost interest in writing any more C64 games. "
Agreed, readd the dl link, he's even hosting it on his own site, his previous statement to remove it from here is not anymore valid =) | User Comment Submitted by bugjam on 22 February 2011
Just found that the author himself is offering the crack for download nowadays... (see http://cpcfreak.cpc-live.com/ ) - then maybe we can upload it here again as well... That does not mean people should not buy the original (given it will be available again, seems out of stock atm). | User Comment Submitted by A Life in Hell on 10 March 2007
I like loading things off tape (i'm one of the idiots who downloads from tapes.c64.no and then loads tapes on emulators just to watch the tape loaders :-p), and I bought this game (yes, we're gonna review it this month), but sometimes I find myself really wanting a disk version, you know :).
So yeah, cracking tape only games actually makes sense :-p. | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 6 March 2007
@oswald: =) Haha, my question was rather internal. U see, the day before this release Twoflower asked me how to read the keyboard buffer using the kernal. My answer was something like: "I'm an LDA #$35 STA $01 guy... I dunno.. :D " Then I posted some link to AAY. | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 6 March 2007
jack, why on earth someone shouldnt use the kernal to read the keyboard.?:) | User Comment Submitted by TWR on 5 March 2007
The creator and copyright owner of the game explicitly requested the crack removed!
- The cracking scene of today. :-D | User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 4 March 2007
Would have been nice as a freeware game. I don't think anyone should feel bad for not buying this, however if having physical media is your thing then by all means go for it. | User Comment Submitted by RaveGuru on 3 March 2007
Pretty good game, considering today's standards. It's missing a nice soundtrack though. And the keyboard routine really feels flakey, just like in the past :P | User Comment Submitted by d0c on 1 March 2007
no one forced you to crack it (if there was a protection on it at all) and upload it here... i have bought the orginal, so dont blame me for your evil deeds.. | User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 1 March 2007
Well, never had to use that one. :-) In all seriousity though, I had preferred to not see this uploaded here. Whiners like D0c really should have bought it instead. To just play the game is to rob yourself of half the experience of which the rest consists of 1) getting a new game in your post, with cover and instructions 2) loading it, buiding up expectations and enjoying using your C-64 for what it was supposed to do. | User Comment Submitted by JackAsser on 1 March 2007
Is this there the keyboard buffer fetch routine was used? =D |
