So after looking at the comments here and on the compo page, I think I should explain.
This tune was designed with one thing in mind: create the feeling I have when thinking about the fact that I'm competing in the last of the SID compos. And that feeling is that I'm torn: on the one hand, I want to stay in the compo forever, in this great place, I don't want to go anywhere else (so I wander around, back and forth, restless). On the other hand, the end is inevitable, and I know it - I'm a fool for thinking otherwise. I'm Wander Fool.
I designed the tune to have these two elements in it (indecisiveness, staying in the same spot but forced to an ending nonetheless). Which is why the chord progression is the same (not an original concept, I believe Ravel did the Bolero and I recall Tiesto did Elements of Life more recently), why it's "messy", why it isn't "tight" and why the lead goes nowhere - it's supposed to stay in the same place until I force everything into the end phase and start deconstructing.
So yeah, it appears the things noticed out there, these concepts, have been intentional. It saddens me that they have been perceived as negatives :(. Hopefully, some of you will rediscover this tune some day.
Usage of tremolos: obviously, I had to loop through the tune a lot - to me, the currently applied tremolos are the best combination for prolonged listening. The tune isn't 6'24" long actually - it's much longer as it needs to work itself into your system.
Oh, and this: it was all originally designed in 4x but at 4 minutes of music I suddenly noticed that the JCH packer doesn't pack it as 4x but 1x instead. Replaying it at 4x in Time Noter resulted in a garbled mess, so I had to work the sounds down and recompose everything in 1x - too bad, the percussion and melody were much crisper in 4x.

I think the only thing annoying me is that the chord progression keeps repeating. Apart from that it has both dynamics and expression.
