A cover?
I reset the clock at the specific c64 -80 till -90:ies computer landscape thinking it was an original suitable to any endurable gfx-slide, demo or mag for sure.
Reminding me of things far from MJ, that is... Very nice, great sound!
Oh, well the scene has been much about copying things around the real world for long anyway.
And we do love copies, xerox:ies and things transformed contextually in our scene.
You got an anonymous 8 from me, just because I for once forgot about the oregano so too speak...

Thank you, Drax, however I also think the snare is a bit silent (the original tune has sidestick-snare, which is also not that loud, but on c64 with 3 poliphony snare has to be louder).
I had to compromize between sound quality and loudness. So the snare was filtered, but I couldn't set the resonance louder then the $F. Maybe I didn't find the resonance-point of the snare-waves. If you have the solution for this, I would thank.
E.g. one solution to set the other voices to lower volume, but the ADSR was very restricted to have the chords long enough but not too loud.
BTW, I'm curious with which restart settings I should use the "Decay"-instruments like snare to be more precise & stronger.
I've listened it on several loudspeakers & earphones, and there were huge differences in volume of snare..of course the extremely low-band filtered sounds will only be heared on equipment that has enough bass range (min 20Hz lower freq limit...) |

| Very lovely cover. Perhaps as the other mentioned the snare should be a little bit louder, BUT all the other sounds work great with the softnes they have. Especially when people for many years have overused hard restart, which just cuts too much of the sound between notes. In general I think this one shows that with a big of effort, one can actually make sounds that FIT the music. A skill that not many people master TOO well. Also, the original tune is kinda cheesy, so why shouldn't a c64 cover of it be cheesy aswell? :-) |

Anyway, I haven't mentioned anywhere that I've written it targeting 8580 SID. On 6581 the filters may make bass/snare sounds overfiltered.

Agreed with Stainless, some sounds come off too soft (especially over my notebook speakers, had to check with headphones to hear all sounds) other then that a 7/10 for me |
