Wouldn't say that it's too lucky with the anatomy. Looks like there are bumps on the face around the eye and the eyeball is simply unnatural (I have an impression of the iris floating above the sclera and casting shadow on it). However, I am really fond of the style and the color usage. | User Comment Submitted by saehn on 24 November 2009
No copy, no interlace, great use of colors, good subject matter/composition/anatomy. This might very well be my favorite Leon piece ever! I almost missed this among all the other recent releases. Great work, Leon! \o/ | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 18 November 2009

Wow, really nice! Makes me wonder how it is done when looking closer. The entire pic seems to concist of.. swirls. Is it the wonders of pc? I just cannot imagine pixeling this with a joystick on c64. | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 14 November 2009 User Comment Submitted by Sander on 14 November 2009 User Comment Submitted by NecroPolo on 14 November 2009
Top-notch pixel art.
Basszus, tényleg nem hittem el hogy ez a pic hogy néz ki "állat"-on, a régi gépemen :)

Nice, Leon got it instantly why I suggested the heavy eye makeup.
The nose should be on the other side of the right eye, though... \;b>
(that thing to the left of the eye looks pretty much like part of the nasal bridge to me) | User Comment Submitted by Zyron on 14 November 2009
I really love how the use of HiRes have increased lately, it gives me a warm back-to-basics feeling. It's such a powerful gfx-format in the hands of the right artists, like Mermaid, Veto, Twoflower & now you too Leon. (Sorry if I forgot someone.) | User Comment Submitted by Stainless Steel on 14 November 2009
I like this a lot more than Leons other recent stuff. | User Comment Submitted by booker on 13 November 2009 User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 13 November 2009
Nice! Great to see you trying different graphic formats... the results are outstanding :-) | User Comment Submitted by Tom-Cat on 13 November 2009
Wow, nice. At first I thought it was a quickie by Veto, but then I saw the author... nicely done :) | User Comment Submitted by v3to on 13 November 2009
very nice and good to see leon colors in hires :) no clashes in sight, the strand-like dithering works. really hope to see more of this. great job sir... | User Comment Submitted by Bregalad on 13 November 2009
Wow it's rare to see a hi-res image, really great work. | User Comment Submitted by Hermit on 13 November 2009

Nice to see another hirespicture that dares to explore the medium. I really like the iris; it feels fluid and moist in a very good way. | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 13 November 2009
motion: yeah, the cyan and yellow area on the eyes is bad... :_( error by photoshop! ;_)
carrion: make a bmp picture and send to clarence! ;_) (i don't know how coded this.. i'm not coder, i'm graphician... :_D ) | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 13 November 2009 User Comment Submitted by Motion on 13 November 2009
Great work, but the screenshot isn't exactly the same as the .exe file. You could have easily disguised the cyan block in the lower right area, but then, you only took a few hours. So, Salutes all the same!

Quick but not dirty. I like this one! | User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 13 November 2009
A quick work done in a few hours. Testing what can be done in hi-res, trying different ditherings, choosing this one. The pic was made in photoshop using 8x8 grid, and no copy. |
