A bit late, but I have to agree with DPL on this.. I think I'm going to start coding PAL, just doesn't seem to be that big an audience on NTSC these days.. | User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 27 December 2009
Yeah, funny thing is that most of my personal top 2 or 3 hundred favorite PAL demos don't look pretty on my NTSC c64. Now that I have a PAL c64 too, I notice that they sound and look so much better on the real machine! I realize though, as a coder, if I want a larger audience for my demos, I should code for PAL first, then fix for NTSC if I have time :) even as an American coder. Now that I have the hardware, maybe that will happen. I can't speak for what T.P. may do of course, as it's his prerogative, and this release was his project. | User Comment Submitted by Prowler64 on 27 December 2009
Nice christmas greeting! Doesn't look pretty in PAL though so I'll have to watch it again in emu. | User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 16 December 2009
I like the instruments in this tune. they fit well to the tune.
| User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 16 December 2009
Indeed. And happy holidays to you and yours too Saehn. | User Comment Submitted by saehn on 16 December 2009
Forces of evil in a bozo nightmare... thanks for the Xmas greets :-) well wishes to you and yours! | User Comment Submitted by Jon on 15 December 2009 User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 15 December 2009
Nice. I bet it does look cute on that little CRT. I'm gonna have to procure one of those for myself soon :)
Although I'd rather have a PAL SX-64. | User Comment Submitted by Sledge on 15 December 2009
Great! Looks very nice on my NTSC SX-64! :D | User Comment Submitted by Fuzz on 15 December 2009
Can't watch it until I get home tonight (or the boss leaves.. whichever comes first ;) but it looks great! Good job guys! | User Comment Submitted by daison on 15 December 2009
And a merry X-mass to you guys too.
Good to see you so active lately! | User Comment Submitted by pmc on 15 December 2009
Nice little intro Phantom.
Merry Christmas to you too! :-) | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 15 December 2009
@Moloch: The name would be as listed on CSDB, or "Merry Christmas from FOE/KRX".
@GT.. If I used Time Crunch, you would have waited A couple more days. I'm not sure if there's a slower cruncher than that. | User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 15 December 2009
Moloch: I'd guess the name would be the former, and I would prefer that since it has both group abbreviations in it...but you'll have to ask The Phantom, since he headed this project.
I too am very happy about the many NTSC releases lately! | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 15 December 2009
Hmm, eight NTSC releases in the span of five months ... very nice.
Question, is the title "Merry Christmas from FOE/KRX" or "Merry Xmas 2009"?

Greets going out to Geir Tjelta...creator of some of the most atmospheric tunes. Good for anything you might be into, from Satanic worship to typing opcodes directly into your cart. Seriously.. top shelf musix. | User Comment Submitted by The Shadow on 15 December 2009
Nice demo. The music and graphics are well balanced. The overall feeling is jolly :) | User Comment Submitted by GT on 15 December 2009
I like the music. Nice little production. No greetings found to moa. Maybe I've been a naughty boy? :( | User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 15 December 2009
Cross your fingers and hope for Trichinosis. | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 15 December 2009
Uh oh.. They've found the pig virus in the code.. What do we do now?! | User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 15 December 2009
Geir...shhhhh! I got its' shots before we uploaded. ;)
Besides...with all that packing we know it has been through, you ought to be worried about worse things than swine flu. | User Comment Submitted by GT on 15 December 2009
Don't download. It got virus and swine-flu. ;-) | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 15 December 2009
Sorry guys.. Had some problems with the packing.. Kept losing the borders when i removed the space bar routine.. Had to fix that.. Music corrupted using my packer, had to use another..
Anyway...
Have a great Christmas!!!!
This is nothing HUGE, just some wishful thoughts to a small number of those we know. | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 15 December 2009 User Comment Submitted by GT on 15 December 2009
Probably the ISDN lines, no connection or something? Or the reindeers are still under its way? ;-)
You have to expect a little bait when you upload a screenshot and tell people to be patient. Been "waiting" for the file for about 1,5 hours now. Ho Ho... :-)
Merry Christmas by the way. | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 15 December 2009
I even thought the processor run a bit faster in the us so that the crunch time would be less... Guess I were wrong about that! | User Comment Submitted by plagueis on 15 December 2009
He's doing it just to bait us...Phantom you bastard ;)
@GT: "How long does it take to crunch and pack in the US?" ..well, it's almost Christmas time, so there's a lot of fudge around, naturally! | User Comment Submitted by GT on 14 December 2009
I'm dying of impatience. Can hardly wait to see those sexy sprites move on my NTSC machine. Upload NOW! God damn it! How long does it take to crunch and pack in the US? :P
I just thought your comment was a little funny, Phantom. ;-) | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 14 December 2009
This is an NTSC release!!!!
I'm packing it so be patient!!! |
