first thing/words which came to my mind when I saw this:

"...This is major Tom to ground control, I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
Here am I floatin' 'round my tin can far above the world
Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing I can do..."

remember? David Bowie's Space Oddity/Major Tom? :D

anyway, nice pic... like it!

Nice feeling. Plummeting towards Earth? Floating away from the shuttle? Either way your screwed. :D

@<F@T><Fr05t> It took me back to the scene during Star Wars when Luke Skywalker, while running around the Death Star, reaches the edge of a ledge. Where do go from here? kinda thing. In Luke Skywalker’s case, he swings to freedom, along with Princess Leia.

It has the feeling that the 'naut wants to jump straight back down to earth....temptations eh?....

@Necropolis ‘some kind of discworld glued to the protagonist's feet’
I have to admit, it looks like a disc.
This is where dreams tend to break rules, as while the feet are supposed to be standing firm, the disc should have looked like a 3D dimensional rock / asteroid, more circular in shape.

If it were a movie, the focus would shift from the feet to the Earth, and back again.

@iAN: :DDDDDD

@Joe: As it seems, it is either a dense mass planetoid, or some kind of discworld glued to the protagonist's feet. Hails Rincewind :)

I like the pic. Constructed on a cool idea.

Now that is a small rock running around in space. The angular momentum, torque and gravitational force
of orbiting the planet underneath at such a distance, I wonder if it is strong enough to hold the persons weight/mass.

Nice “from above”/self-conscious first person perspective.

only the ship looks like using the advanteges of NUFLI. am I missing something here?

Edit: Read the production notes now, it's clear now.

The space surrounding the planets lack a feeling of depth somehow. Otherwise nice. (...and I guess it should still be named with a .prg extension rather than .nuf, just to be nitpicking a likkle..)

EDIT: Yes, maybe it is because the planets look disc-like that the space between the planets also seem flat somehow.
