I have already seen the best all border TV static effect. It has yet to be released.

Next is not noise, but an 80-or-so column proportional megadycp with different colours for each character... ;-)

This is starting to amuse me even more :). In one week we find the TV startup/switch off effect intros/demos in CSDB. Whatever next? A Hires of a TV screen with this effect? ;)

Ed: Yeah, I tried hard to get rid of the vertical lines, but failed since there wasn't much space left for the noise generator if I wanted to keep it within 256 bytes. I would be impressed if someone could make a prettier version.

Cool, but there are traces of vertical lines in the noise in the all border version :)

Like the big pixel version and the slightly lower frequency noise!
