Thx @Reset Mag for putting it into focus again.
No idea why this has escaped my radar back then, probably 2 busy organizing BCC.
Though I'm not into these click only casual smartphone games, this one is definetely among the best of its kind. Smooth controls and performance, lovely gfx and mindblasting music! | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 6 April 2016
SD2IEC compability can't seriously be seen as some kind of standard to strive for when developing things. It's 2016, and people who really care for the C64, and want to run things on the real thing should have a real diskdrive or two, or a good 1541 substitute like 1541U2 or 1541UK. | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 6 April 2016
Quoting fuzzybadI'm disappointed that in 2016 we're still seeing releases with hardcoded drive #8 and do not work on SD2IEC! Sure, uload is cool if you're using a supported drive. But how about offering a Kernal fallback? Regardless, this game seems like it could easily be onefiled anyway..
I'm afraid the game couldn't "easily be onefiled" without removing the high score saver/loader.
I'm really glad you like the game though, and I'm very sorry that you haven't been able to run it using your SD2IEC. However, if you unplug your SD2IEC before running the game it works fine, except you won't be able to save your highscore.
I don't have an SD2IEC myself. Andreas doesn't have one either. So it didn't really occur to us to test the game on one. The game did work on all the drives we tested it on though, and on NTSC C64s. One guy I know even copied it to turbotape and it ran fine. As long as you remember to unplug your SD2IEC before running the game, you can use the device to load the game. | User Comment Submitted by fuzzybad on 6 April 2016
Great game - I love the concept, execution, graphics and music!
HOWEVER - I'm disappointed that in 2016 we're still seeing releases with hardcoded drive #8 and do not work on SD2IEC! Sure, uload is cool if you're using a supported drive. Graphics and also *Musics* are top top notch notch! | User Comment Submitted by Axess on 2 March 2016 User Comment Submitted by Exploding First on 28 February 2016
Fine animations and gameplay. In the first tune i can recognize melodies from Dune, Battlestar Galactica and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Very funny! | User Comment Submitted by Fredrik on 26 February 2016
Introtune is fucking awesome | User Comment Submitted by Heavy Stylus on 26 February 2016

Kudos for the fine dark music and all the dirty sync/ring sounds! The fact that it has awesome GFX is no surprise. Vanja rules. Now there is a proof that it is true for soundwaves too.
Hats off! | User Comment Submitted by DATA-LAND on 25 February 2016
Very funny and addictive game! :) Thanks for the 8 ingame tunes, but also thanks for the SFX option! I like the beautiful graphics and the real feeling of gravitation. My best try at the 1. day was 2.026 pts. Thank you! :)
Please use $BA in future projects for more device addresses! But nevertheless great work! ;) | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 25 February 2016 User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 25 February 2016
impressive release Vanja! the game is such beautiful , the music very good and fit the the cartoonish style . i love this game and the design of it :)) | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 25 February 2016
@pgarcia And when at it, why don't use the standard palette in Vice instead of that headache Spectrum palette? | User Comment Submitted by Roysterini on 25 February 2016
@pgarcia - hi, nice video, but is there a chance you could replace it with a new video where you play with the joystick in port 2? The current video has the game tune change with every fire button press. | User Comment Submitted by Fungus on 25 February 2016
Love the graphics and the tunes are fitting. Unfortunately I am no fan of flappy bird, but nice game anyways. | User Comment Submitted by Doc Strange on 25 February 2016
2016 seems to be an interesting year from a game dev point of view: after Hessian, this is another gem. | User Comment Submitted by pgarcia on 25 February 2016 User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 24 February 2016

Great game! Thanks for making it free too!! :) | User Comment Submitted by TMA on 24 February 2016 User Comment Submitted by cadaver on 24 February 2016
Flawless presentation, intro graphics are especially high quality. Music reminds of the System 3 game Vendetta's intro at parts. Gameplay is a nice tweak of the Flappy Bird mechanics in that the thrust is rather slow (at first). | User Comment Submitted by Roysterini on 24 February 2016
Lovely game that I'm sure to return to time and time again. Nicely put together too.
Can't fault it.
Well done Andreas and Vanja!
Now, I must beat the 10k barrier :) | User Comment Submitted by Scan on 24 February 2016
I love the music, I recognize some of the fragments, notably Battle Star Galactica and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and the Imperial March. Probably some other people will be able to identify the other parts. | User Comment Submitted by Jammer on 24 February 2016
Awesome take on Flappy Bird / Jetpack Joyride mechanics. Top notch cartoon art and controls. | User Comment Submitted by Rotteroy on 24 February 2016
Ohhhh!!! Polished and challenging Flappy Bird clone with the admirably high Vanja Utne visual standard!!! | User Comment Submitted by GeoAnas on 24 February 2016 User Comment Submitted by Thierry on 24 February 2016
