Jazzcat: That you haven't seen it does not mean it doesn't exist...

Have not seen this issue that you report. Regarding closer to the original. The stutters caused in gameplay are not in the original either, which other cracks are causing more-so (on 1541).

Jazzcat: It's not dropping bombs inside of mountains we talk about. It's bombing in normally reachable spots, which now are unreachable in your version.

1571 doesn't matter, stock only does (the list rules). regarding bombs dropping inside mountains, I am unsure if the original does that as I die when I touch the mountain.

This version is surely the 100% as it behaves as the original. The ONS version does not, and breaks 1571 compability as cherry on top.

hedning, I covered 1571. Regarding dropping bombs inside mountains, I think that is a mute argument also. Good to hear people's views on this of course.

Of course the ONS fix is worse. Our version works as the original, whilst the ONS version does not. We actively avoided hacking the reachable in-game areas as it inflicts with how the game is supposed to be played, which is obvious now with the ONS version, where you are unable to drop bombs in areas where you are supposed to be able to do that. Plus that you still can find spots in the ONS version where you can trash the game scrolling, nulling the argument of a 100% fix, especially as the 1571 drive support is trashed in the process excluding most C128 owners from playing.
