...And as other rumours went... "Focus needs Mirage"...

Awesome! Too bad the music was confused for the one used in Armalyte. The original tune for Sanxion is breathless and probably unbeatable.
Mirage proves that graphics can be altered and refined some 13 years later. I'd wish someone did the same for music...
...And as the rumours went... "Mirage doesn't even need Focus"...

We where some with internet access to watch the pic at LCP'09. Thanks!

Lovebirds, take your discussions somewhere else please.

@Mace, for busy people like you, there's Armalyte_revisited_short.sid ;)

The music takes a while to get up to an entertaining level, but then it kicks ass.
The picture is cool from the first second you see it :)
It would've made a better demo if there was a tiny little scroller somewhere...

@Oswald: oh why thank you, you just answered your own reasoning.

My problem with Leon is that I could bring up your example for 98% of his works. And that is what makes me bored, not one particular copy of a violin. I'm just fed up after seeing his 46th 1:1 replica, that's all.

If his portfolio would mostly consist of thrilling and inspiring pieces and he'd present us copies from time to time, my reaction on his latest 100% copy would probably be exactly the same as was in Mirage's case.

Mind you, I always supported Leon and tried to provide constructive criticism to him (at least in person), but enough is sometimes enough.

Now please cut this crap you're doing, we could continue in PMs if you want to, this is absolutely not the place to discuss my feelings about the works of certain graphicians.

mirage, original, p1. and tears of joy in jailbirds subjective eyes :) (and again, this is not against mirage:)

@Oswald: re-read my comment

Leon does almost nothing else than 1:1 replicating, as strongly opposed to Mirage. And what I'm bored of is constantly seeing the same exact "carbon copy clone" schema from one certain artist. Understood?

JB, so if someone's been pixeling since 18 years you like his copies, if someone's not, you're bored of his copies. understood.

@Oswald: Aah now I get it! That's so funny! Ha-ha.

But you still don't grasp it, do you?

OK. Here, let's play a bit. Guess which graphician I'm talking about when I enumerate the following statements:

- Pixels for ~18 years
- Inspired (probably not just) me to start with painting in general
- Some of us learned how to pixel while examining his graphics
- Laid down some of the basic techniques which C64 graphics artist use today
- Has artistic abilities and holds a high level of understanding on various fields of graphics
- Obviously comprehends anatomy, representation, the golden ratio, composition, etc.
- Produced gazilions of original pieces on several platforms,
- and even when copies, actually adds something to the original instead of putting out a 1:1 carbon copy clone

Rings a bell?

Now compare all that to the lifetime achievement of the graphician you're defending so keenly with your snappy offtopic bullshit parade, and you'll realize why I'm bored of the one yet so excited about the other like a little schoolgirl.

Is that a bit more clear now?

Other than that, my whole month was a complete, utter fuck up, I'm tired as a Japanese prostitute after 10 bukkake parties in row, I feel lousy and would be able to kill someone with my bare hands. I am glad to have a few hours of spare-time, and the last thing I want is to ruin my happy hours by holding onto your crap. I'll try not to answer to your further provocations. Good bye, Sir.

@Hein: The tune is gorgeous, of course!

But the intro... 20 / 10

It is sooo wonderfully evil that really made me go hmmmm :) I just suspected something afterwards that blows my SID out of the case :D

Yawn. Better stick to posting LOLCAT pictures, they go better with your witty comments.

Holy frack! What a spectacular tune intro... :O

The pic kills, too!

After the evil intro the tune itself is not dirty enough to my liking. For me, it is like seeing a badass entrée of Darth Vader (e.g. blowing up a planet or something with thoughts) - then helmet off, and behind the black mask you find a harmless, cute ewok with smiling face, saying "Meow" or what - but WTF...

Awesome piece of work! C'grats! 10/10
