the kefrens-style canyon is amazing! and the linecrunched color cycle circles are crazy, you get a really weird feeling watching them.

Delicious! Some very nice screens and innovative designs by Twoflower, neat music and powerrrrr code by the Larsson brothers and Iopop. Definately making this one of my favorites for 2005.

Very nice multigroup effort :) It's good to see Pernod popping up again. Did you teach JackAsser? Two perfect coders in one family, wow!

@Pernod: Awesome dude! And if you get my personal HZN gurus Kjer & Bagder back as well, I'll stand the next round of drinks at any occasion!

This was quite some demo to see "Live" at the LCP party. It was obvious that it was the winner, after hearing the crowd go NUTS of the Icebreaking-effect and the colourcycling circles. Now, this demo had me all spoiled cause it was so good and the only downsides I can think of are: the music doesnt fit the demo, the lame blaxploited afro dude pic ruins the vibe and flow of the demo, and.. the authors of this demo are wuzzies, all of them, except Pernod who proved old retired HZ dudes still got the shit in them. (:

@Stan: Oh yes, it's a HZ release, since I made the ice canyon/rift effect. "Never say never again" as they say...

I love the xy moving colorcycling and the canyon stuff. A bit of plentiful gfx is missing, but still this is a very good demo with a coder's eye.

HCL: please note that you have to decode stuff too and not only transfer. so far, no real streaming is used, but polling instead. and yes, with two separate buffers. but with real streaming, we'll get more bits, and with the other planned add-ons, even more bits. muahahahahhaaa. ph34r us.

I don't know if i got the whole concept about bit streaming etc correct.. To me it looks just like loading normal files into two different buffers in memory. Any loader is capable of doing that, and the speed doesn't seem that impressive to me so far. Just hope i ain't seen nothing yet :).

HCL: the vector animation was just the first shot of using the polling/streaming api of my loader. there is some bitrate potential left in the current version (the loader gives 150 bytes per 2 frames, and the 25fps animations in this demo take a little less than that in average), and i also have some ideas on how to speed up the loader itself for a higher possible bitrate. a higher bitrate means more detail and less artefacts, if we do it right :D but, as jackasser put it, people will wonder even more why the turn disk request pops up after such a short time =) stay tuned..

@HCL: It was a BITCH to code, u're absolutly right. Although, bitches are what we like?!?

UltraKeuool demo!! Those vector animations look a bit blocky back home though (always better on the big-screen), but still very smooth. The design and very accurate choice of effects is what makes this demo extra extra. I know that such things come more or less by accident, and it's hard to forsee what kind of vibe particular effects will bring together. The color-cycle circles must have been a real BITCH to code. Finally it's nice to see that the smoothest pixels of the turn-disk picture are the ones that i put ;DDD. (Gotya there 2F)!.

Is this really a Horizon release? Thought they were gone for good with Last Traktor III... Anyways, gonna check the release soon, just too tired now. /Stan

Loved the rift, liked the city and going nuts over the extremely nice 'the end'-part. Iopops code was nice as usual but not as mindblowing as the rest of the demo.

Nice effects and music, not much graphics unfortunately.

i know that the makers would have wanted to be able to include more graphics and so, but i really love the more minimalistic style. this is a coderpr0n-killerdemo with an iopop flavour
