Fun fact: both tunes are 2x (like most tunes by AMJ) | User Comment Submitted by Viscid on 23 March 2022 User Comment Submitted by katon on 26 September 2021
One of the Best demo C64 !!! | User Comment Submitted by ws on 10 October 2020
Almost hadnt found this, because the AKA name is not considered in the search!
Awesome demo. | User Comment Submitted by jab on 21 September 2020
As a sofascener, Asm96 is still one of the very few demoparties I've been to and the only one where I watched the compos on site. This, and the soundtrack especially, takes me back to that awesome moment and atmosphere. The flow is ahead of its time. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 27 September 2017
this demo has everything so many of todays demos lack: a killer soundtrack made by AMJ | User Comment Submitted by Sith on 25 September 2013
75% ? What stopped them from finishing it? Must be the real life monster as usual. The effects in this demo look graphically 'raw'. I guess they were trying to go for a photo-realistic approach with some parts. It is funny how this specific pixeling effect reminds me of Sega Mega CD video footage. If you look at this demo from a distance they have succeeded with the 'realism' to a certain extent but there is only so much you can do with 64k of memory and 16 colors. I still like what they did. Refreshingly different demo.
I love the SID music and the overal nightclub feel of the 90s in this demo. Very cool. | User Comment Submitted by fenz on 4 July 2013
Great demo. Voxelscape and color-zoomer inspired by brain-state-in-a-box by cryptoburners perhaps? :) | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 17 October 2012
A classic! Also skilled linking.. most parts are first running in lower speed while loading the next part, then higher speed and fading out. I once checked some parts, and loading is done within the 4x4-timing without handshake. Perhaps not so fresh in my eyes, but it worx :).
Sadly there is no 100% version. | User Comment Submitted by Burglar on 17 July 2012
the soundtrack!
imho best demo of 96 | User Comment Submitted by ferris on 25 June 2011 User Comment Submitted by bepp on 17 November 2010
Nice demo packed with great routines. The style is unquestionable - it says Mr. Sex all over :) Overall design has improved a lot since WoC. Good to see some nice gfx from Mike! It's hard to pick out a single effect in this demo, but I think the phong shading? spirals were very nice. Together with Extremes, this is my fav Byterapers release. | User Comment Submitted by WVL on 22 October 2010
Still one of my favorites after all these years :) Way to go! The soundtrack is just perfect for this demo. | User Comment Submitted by abaddon on 22 October 2010
Having been a few years away from C64 and having never done anything except gaming, seeing this on Asm'96 bigscreen was a revelation. All of the Asm'96 C64 compos were a blast. | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 31 December 2009
umm... somehow i totally missed this demo. how could that happen... its awesome! | User Comment Submitted by svofski on 26 August 2009
Looks promising but it dies on my C64 after the plasma part, every time :( | User Comment Submitted by null on 28 February 2009

Awesome indeed! This is one of the best blocky-effects demos out there. Never boring and great music. | User Comment Submitted by Mr. Mouse on 3 November 2008
Bloody awesome stuff. One of my all-time favourites. | User Comment Submitted by Testa on 31 August 2008
fuckin cool demo, outstanding soundtrack, this demo is one of my favorits... simply one of the best! | User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 18 December 2007
Great demo by Mr. Sex. Has all the elements of an excellent mid 90's demo: thumping fast paced soundtrack by AMJ, awesome graphics by Jate, Mike, Mysdee and it flows from one part to the next without boring the hell out of you. Should be much higher in the charts. | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 19 November 2006
well, the voxelspace must be great, but to me it took many many years to realise what that effect wants to be :) nevertheless great demo. | User Comment Submitted by Krill on 14 November 2005
Great code demo with great soundtrack. Also featuring one of the best voxelspace routines around. | User Comment Submitted by CyberBrain on 13 September 2004
Very nice, when looked at from a distance! |
