spider-j: Alright, ran both v146 and v166 of the loader - the former, used in the demo, doesn't work on my setup the latter runs like a charm. In fact the test is still running (looping)... ...so if you really bother to update the demo w/ the new loader you would have the warm feeling of being compatible to even more real hardware out there. ;)
Krill suggests though to wait for an ever newer version of the loader, just ask him about it. *scratches*head*

Krill: Thanks for helping w/ testing your loader versions.

@spider-j: OK, good to know - still a mighty fine release, let's see about this little snafu:

@Krill: Ah, thanks for the pointer, much appreciated! Just downloaded the repo, will test soon and report back here. ;)

Yes, this demo uses an older version, Krill's Loader, repository version 146 - but that has worked alright with 1541u1 so far, afaik.

I suggest to run the loader test application that comes with the zip. If that one works fine, i'll wash my hands in innocence and put the blame on anything else than the loader. :D

@Martinland: Hm. We successfully tested this on several real floppy drives *and* with the ultimate 2 - plus with multiple other cartridges. I'm wondering why it wouldn't work on ultimate 1.

But I have to admit due to being very late I didn't find the time to update Krill loader to the latest version before release. I'm considering to release an updated version of this demo in the future.

Really, really nice, BUT: I only saw the beginning on my setup here. After the "Work Work Work" coffee cup the loader accesses my 1541 Ultimate (_not_ II) and ... hangs. I tried it dozens of times w/ different configs (Breadbox C64 and 1541 Ultimate w/ Ethernet stayed the same ;) and only _once_ it continued but I foolishly reset (!) to try something else. Never worked again. oO

Do you use an advanced loader? What could be the cause of that? I'll compare my download w/ your upload again...

rudi as with much stuff we ran out of time, so we just labeled it helix and not twister, but you're right

I like the last scroller since it has some lighting in there. But the twister don't twist. Also chick-pic is quite nice.

I like it. Some more polishing here and there would have been nice. Good music!
