Ahhhh ok :) Monte Cassino is a mountain near Rome here in Italy indeed and famous for the fight between the Green Devils (german paratroopers) and the Texas Bulls (an american elite corp). Never thought it could became a name of a street too :) | User Comment Submitted by skurwy on 28 December 2010
@The Overkiller: why, it is the name of the street i live on. it can be roughly translated as the 'heroes of monte cassino' -- to commemorate those who fought the battle of monte cassino in ww2 (there were poles involved). glad you asked!

Obviously graffiti inspired and very cool. | User Comment Submitted by The Overkiller on 28 December 2010
Interesting name... why Monte Cassino ? I'm curious ... | User Comment Submitted by Ant on 28 December 2010 User Comment Submitted by skurwy on 28 December 2010
thank you for the kind words everyone; it really means a great deal to me!
@Mace: its nice to see you around as well!
@FatFrost: thanks for the comforting comment. :)
@Cresh: bullseye. in fact, i can see the garages from behind my window. :) i must admit, though, i dont know any of them fellows responsible for the pieces you can find there. my aerosol skills are sparse if any at all but if i had a chance i would gladly project some of my ideas to the wall. sadly, its too expensive a deal, i guess.
B.M.C. is a concept i have been pondering upon since i started pixeling. it has plenty to do with my regional identity as a Lublinianin; and there were millions of ideas popping up in this street. . . more on that later (hopefully) :) cheers! | User Comment Submitted by Kisiel on 28 December 2010 User Comment Submitted by Twoflower on 28 December 2010
Really nice hirespiece! I think we all could need some well-placed sprites here and there at times. | User Comment Submitted by Linus on 28 December 2010 User Comment Submitted by tool8 on 28 December 2010
nice choice of colors, I like! | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 28 December 2010
I Don't care about sprites, the main thing is that we have on awesome picture by you on the c64, it doesn't matter how it was put together really.
Great work and superb edges in this one br0!! | User Comment Submitted by Archmage on 28 December 2010 User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 28 December 2010
I like the smooth hard as rock vibes this sends out. | User Comment Submitted by Mace on 28 December 2010
Skurwy, mate, nice to see you back! | User Comment Submitted by Cresh on 28 December 2010
Does it have anything in common with Lublin's Bohaterów Monte Cassino graf. spot? | User Comment Submitted by The Phantom on 28 December 2010
This brings me back.. Nice old school wall feeling to this.
Great coloring, blending and the lettering is smooth, flows well into everything.
Good work! Look forward to seeing more! | User Comment Submitted by skurwy on 28 December 2010
the sprites are here out of sheer negligence and i am not really glad about that. :/ i havent been doing hires pieces since ages and its quite hard to error-check them in the "native" windows environment i am currently limited to use. some time ago VICPACK would spit all faulty coordinates at you and make things easier but right now it does not -- and manual checking proves way too tiresome. :/
anyway, thanks for the positive feedback. really appreciated :) | User Comment Submitted by Skate on 28 December 2010
sprite usage is minimal which is a positive thing imho. great work. | User Comment Submitted by camper on 28 December 2010
