Just what you could except from a guy like Redcrab. Superb use of hires, great motive and lovely choice of colors. It dosn't get much better than this.

And what hedning said: You can't judge C64 graphics by looking at a tiny png.

It's clearly a kid, knees pulled up, arms around it, brown hair etc.
But I think the mood is more important than the details of the picture.
And the mood is terrific.

No problem seeing everything in the picture if you use a CRT monitor or have fullscreen on in Vice. If you just check the tiny screenshot here or Vice in 100% size you may miss stuff in this picture, and many more. C64 graphics is not made for 9*5,5 cm.

Roman, I am just leaving honnest feedback, not joking around at all.

Just as your feedback was excellent to set the mood, just let me try and rework mine so you know WHY I commented..

Sky & Clouds.. good (love the colors)

Rock formation.. good.. love the simplicity and yet depth too

Dragon (salamander considdering no wings?).. awesome!

The kid.. bad/fail.. and that is a pitty (and why I comment)

Maybe it just misses a two minute outline along the top hair line? But it just doesn't blend for me and spoils the picture, the kid being the essence of the/your tale.

I would have voted 8/10 for it's cute factor, and I strongly hope Redcrab makes more.. but for now this one is 6/10 for me.

Yes it is a kid wearing blue shirt with horizontal stripes huddling towards the dragon. The thing above the t=shirt is clearly the hair of the kid. You either try to be funny, or you really don't get it. I don't know which is worse, considering the fact that you already added 2 comments and voted for the pic with dragon and turtle.

CreaMD.. That's a kid??? It might just be the colors on my laptop.. but I had to zoom up the picture real large to see it..

normal sized the blue looks like a turtle and the hair like another object :S which is a pitty, because I do love this style

Bordeaux> The child is crying, sobbing "you aren't my mom", the dragon doesn't know what to do.. so he just looks a bit desperate and frustrated, unable to help, coz he knows he isn't his mom, but well.. he saved him from some great danger which was a risky and exhausting experience so he came to his nest to rest.. the mom of course died in the battle, and dragon doesn't know what to do. He will eventually later find some good people to whom he will give the kid so they will raise him etc. Or maybe not, maybe the boy will grow up into Dragon Rider and there will be another pic in year or two...

update: I don't see the wings. that's bad.. what are we going to do with it? How does it fly? Did it walk to the mountain? Hmmm..

hmm.. this picture is cute, however I just can't decipher what is supposed to be infront of the dragon saying " you aint my mom ".. it's just to vague.. pitty, would have added a point or two in my vote
