Our new kitchen fan has this annoying user interface where you have to press a touch button twice to turn it on or off, but you can't do it too quickly or it doesn't register the second press. Obviously, I want to double-tap it as fast as possible, and the upshot is that I need to somehow remember how quickly I'm allowed to do it. And the "dun dun" of Empire of Norway is a perfect mnemonic. So now, every time I cook, I get this masterpiece on my mind.
Bet you didn't expect that when you composed it. |

| I wasn't too fond of this tune at the party, I felt it was too wild with the lead and thought it was almost a little irritating. As I watched Trick & Treat and heard it a few more times it totally grew on me and now it's on my favourite list and a straight 10. I think one of Ole's qualities is that he packs his songs with so many melodic twists and turns that for me it takes a while to really get into it, but once I do, I love the ride! |

A really great tune, it has so much power. The Empire of Norway could be a tune for a great game, maybe Defender of the Crown 2, I have the feeling that middle Ages style meets modern style.

| Whoa!!!!! I was missing Asterion's medieaval stuff a lot and this tune brings very similar mood to the playground. Plus it sounds a bit like something from Barbarian games (in intro), and it has overal epic arrange that seriously messes up my 21st century pop music aligned brain. Only objection I have is, that it fades away. Opportunity to hit listener's head with big spiky (or how they name it) war hammer seriously missed!! ;-) Anyway, the best thing I have heard in the compo so far (listened to all things from Jeroen Tel up). Two thumbs up man! |
