Just start at the top of the music releases by Linus and work your way down. As for simplicity, SID is a simple sound-chip and therein lies the challenge.

@Jammer Yes, I love simplicity - thats the reason for being here :p
@Hein Pls not misunderstand, don´t want to attack you anyhow, it´s only my opinion after I´ve heard them ;)

My comment was made even without consideration of Jammers comment "entries here are supposed to imitate Linus' trademarks" - as I do not know much of Linus, it was only my first impression after hearing the 3 tracks.

But keeping in mind that, it won´t look much better to me until now as I´ve read (and minutes ago heard, too) that ´On The Road Again´ for example is not too far from Linus´ Enter the Ninja - maybe I need to hear more tracks from Linus to get a better picture of his style - but for now my opinon from my first post remains, sorry (for trying to be so impartially ^^)...
As I don´t want to hear hours of music from Linus now, can someone pls show me a track from Linus, which maybe can change my opinion a bit in view of this one here and imitating his trademarks?

@mozArt, definately a matter of taste. I'm not too sure about the namevoting, though.

Besides, entries here are supposed to imitate Linus' trademarks - Buddha's tunes are really interesting but out of topic in fact ;)

mozArt, it's definitely taste thing and I'm a bit sorry that you don't understand ;) I guess you're more into simplicity ;]

Probably because the instruments are carefully chosen and well polished.
The song has it's bridge and theme work well together and the melody is worth remembering...
And don't forget Hein has a lot of friends ;)

I do not really understand why this track has a higher rating than On The Road Once Again, even Never Ending TechLoop sounds better and more interesting to me....hopfeully it is taste of music-related

TheRyk is right, The Vice Squad is one of the best c64 game tracks and it was the starting point for this one. Well, the original The Small Slave was, obviously, but I first listened to The Vice Squad tracks before converting my old tune for this compo.

Thanks to all for the kudos.

reminds me of so many game scores by linus, feels like VICE Squad and a couple of other games at the same time, excellent job

Absolutely great. Was looking for Linus in there but found quite a lot of what I like about just your music!
