Excellent! Now I must ask my friend how is repair of REU I gave him going...

I second "Newcomer" proposition. It looks like developers have moved to PC version of the game and Ultimate Newcomer with 1581/64HDD/SD2IEC support will never come to C64.

@isildur Well I have my hands full for a rather long time to come, already working on something else. After that, who knows.

In general PMinh the suggestions increase the probability. What's posted in publoc might be picked up by others and for cracks such as this one I am Keen not to have a race. Then so want to take the time needed and only conclude when we are done.

Great release! How about to put Fairlight magical hands on "Newcomer" game? ;)
Newcomer

The screenshot alone is worth an 11! Minus 1 for lack of drama.

Just kidding, wonderful stuff for the REUmatics!

Robert - no you don't need to change that. This isn't generally better - it's a special edition for people with special requirements. If you fullfil the hardware requirements then I would go for this one.

In the best of worlds, you would have all functions in the same package but for now that's not something I can deliver.

Let's see what the future holds ;)

Excellent!

But now that you’ve bettered the last version, do I now need to change my 10 on that one..? (I won’t)

Great work!

Following the discussion associated with the normal release (Release id #187773 : Alternate Reality - The City +11D) I was further encouraged to make another version;

* This is IFFL - it reads the game data and scans in that process - here IFFL works fine without sacrificing any compatibility.

* REU support means that loading is near instant - it improves playability even further.

The REU IFFL was developed during a few hours. The Cadaver loader and also the Exo depacker are just so solid that you can play with them at will.
