Hmm, DeeKay I think you didn't understand ptoing's reference to process :) I might be wrong but you're still talking the tool and the mode, not the process itself.

Hires or Die = "process over result" ;)

ptoing: well, Assvis turned out rather perfect in NUFLI, didn't it? ;-) Calling this an approximation is just not fair... Why not simply give it a try? If you're unsatisfied with the result you can still abandon it! ;-)

Also, if you're interested in the process, simply use Veto's Overlay mask that shows you where exactly the sprite-rows are and pixel within these limitations!... Zero conversion bugs, but more headache, if that's your thing! ;-D

I dunno how flexible Promotion is, but maybe you can even define NUFLI limits within Promotion? 2 colors in every 8x2 block and one extra color every 48x2 (offset one pixel in y)... plus the FLIbug, which could be a bit tricky! ;-)

Deev: Right on!

Deekay: I dunno, the thing is that I am more interested in the process than the result most of the time and NUFLI just does not strike me as very interesting to work in, more tedious. I also do not care for having to fix my stuff or have someone else fix it for me to have it look approximately like I want. Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid.

Wouldn't it be nice to draw a hires pic in 320x200 and not worry about 2-color limitations for a change? 8) Just give it a try, I'll do any necessary conversionbug-fixing it in the editor if you want and send it to you for approval! ;-D

NUFLI doesn't HAVE to be as colorful as a Veto picture, you know? 8)

Ptoing: Definitely! Big Cave fan and STGs in general. Spotted your name before over at shmups before now, though I mostly just lurk there!

Deekay: NUFLI is very unlikely atm. I don't really see the appeal in working in it.

Deev: Haha, was a bit surprised you are familiar with the term tate :D Fellow arcade game aficionado?

I like the way the face and hair is done, and I like the idea of tate'ing the C64! :)

Some how reminds me of Refuse Machine

..which is, in turn, based on a HR Giger picture series (as it says in the production notes, but which should be mentioned here again if we're looking for inspirations! ;-)

Nice picture, i like the style! Aesthetically pleasing chicks have been done to death, and she looks a bit more Betty Boo'ish! 8) Do you only do 90 degree tallpixel stuff now? What about hires, that's also tallpixels if you look at the aspect ratio! ;-) NUFLI next pleeeease! <:-))))

Aesthetically proportionately not my cup of tea. Focus works more for me.

The image is super nice but it made me wonder... Does the arse lips cheeks hang very low? I meen, that arse do go far down from her pussy lips... Not very sexy just that bit in my mind!

wackee: Carlos Nine is a source of inspiration, tho Arthur de Pins and Dave Cooper are stronger (and to me longer known) ones.

I am sure I could make her upside down heart not so upside down. Even though I am in Australia and I am upside down here. Nice work, she is related to the cloud-head princess for sure!

Those lips were made for luv.

And Ptoing's style works flawlessly again, back to his usual caricaturic, removed-from-realism depiction of the character.
